«إن هذا الطاعون رجز وبقية عذاب عذب به قوم فإذا وقع بأرض وأنتم بها فلا تخرجوا منها فرارا منه وإذا وقع بأرض ولستم بها فلا تدخلوها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this plague is a punishment, and it is the remnant of the punishment with which (earlier) peoples were punished. So when this epidemic spreads in a land while you are there, do not leave it to flee from it; and when it spreads in a land where you are not present, do not enter it."
