«إن هذه الأمة أمة مرحومة عذابها بأيديها فإذا كان يوم القيامة دفع إلى كل رجل من المسلمين رجل من المشركين فيقال: هذا فداؤك من النار»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this Ummah is an Ummah shown mercy; its punishment is in its own hands (that is, the afflictions that befall it in this world become its expiation). So when the Day of Resurrection comes, a man from the polytheists will be handed over to every man of the Muslims, and it will be said: 'This is your ransom from the Fire.'"
