«أتحبون أيها الناس أن تجتهدوا في الدعاء؟ قولوا: اللهم أعنا على شكرك وذكرك وحسن عبادتك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O people! Would you like to strive hard (and exert yourselves) in supplication? Then say: O Allah! Help us to thank You, to remember You and to worship You in the best manner."

«اتخذوا الغنم فإنها بركة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep sheep and goats, for there is blessing in them."

«اتخذي غنما فإنها تروح بخير وتغدوا بخير»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep sheep and goats, for when they return in the evening they bring good (and blessing), and when they go out to graze in the morning they go with good."

«أتدرون أين تذهب هذه الشمس؟ إن هذه تجري حتى تنتهي إلى مستقرها تحت العرش فتخر ساجدة فلا تزال كذلك حتى يقال لها: ارتفعي ارجعي من حيث جئت فترجع فتصبح طالعة من مطلعها ثم تجري حتى تنتهي إلى مستقرها تحت العرش فتخر ساجدة فلا تزال كذلك حتى يقال لها: ارتفعي ارجعي من حيث جئت فترجع فتصبح طالعة من مطلعها ثم تجري لا يستنكر الناس منها شيئا حتى تنتهي إلى مستقرها ذاك تحت العرش فيقال لها: ارتفعي أصبحي طالعة من مغربك فتصبح طالعة من مغربها أتدرون متى ذاكم؟ حين {لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْراً}»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know where this sun goes? It keeps moving until it reaches its resting place beneath the Throne and falls down in prostration. It remains in that state until it is told: Rise and return to where you came from. So it returns and rises from its place of rising (the east). Then it moves on until, reaching that same resting place of its beneath the Throne, it falls down in prostration and remains in that state until it is commanded: Rise and return to where you came from. So it returns and rises from its place of rising. Then it keeps moving, and people find nothing strange about it, until it reaches that same resting place of its beneath the Throne, and it will be told: Rise, and today rise from your place of setting (the west). So it will rise from the west. Do you know when that will be? It will be when {No soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or had not earned some good through its faith}. [Surah al-An'am: 158]"

«أتدرون ما العضه؟ نقل الحديث من بعض الناس إلى بعض ليفسدوا بينهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know what 'adh (tale-bearing and slander) is? It is carrying people's words to one another in order to create mischief (and discord) among them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know what backbiting (ghibah) is? It is your mentioning your brother in a way he dislikes. If what you say is in him, you have backbitten him, and if it is not in him, you have slandered him."

[أتدرون ما المفلس؟ إن المفلس من أمتي من يأتي يوم القيامة بصلاة وصيام وزكاة ويأتي قد شتم هذا وقذف هذا وأكل مال هذا وسفك دم هذا وضرب هذا فيعطى هذا من حسناته وهذا من حسناته فإن فنيت حسناته قبل أن يقضى ما عليه أخذ من خطاياهم فطرحت عليه ثم طرح في النار]
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know who the bankrupt one is? The bankrupt one of my Ummah is the person who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds such as prayer, fasting and zakah, but he will come having abused someone in the world, falsely accused someone, consumed someone's wealth, shed someone's blood and beaten someone. So this (wronged) person will be given some of his good deeds, and that (other wronged) person will be given some of his good deeds as well. Then, if his good deeds run out before the rights owed by him are settled, their (the wronged people's) sins will be taken and cast upon him (the wrongdoer), and then he will be thrown into the Fire."

"أتدرون ما هذان الكتابان؟ فقال للذي في يده اليمنى: هذا كتاب من رب العالمين فيه أسماء أهل الجنة وأسماء آبائهم وقبائلهم ثم أجمل على آخرهم فلا يزاد فيهم ولا ينقص منهم أبدا ثم قال للذي في شماله: هذا كتاب من رب العالمين فيه أسماء أهل النار وأسماء آبائهم وقبائلهم ثم أجمل على آخرهم فلا يزاد فيهم ولا ينقص منهم أبدا سددوا وقاربوا فإن صاحب الجنة يختم له بعمل أهل الجنة وإن عمل أي عمل وإن صاحب النار يختم له بعمل أهل النار وإن عمل أي عمل فرغ ربكم من العباد {فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ}"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know what these two books are? Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said about the book in his right hand: This is a book from the Lord of the Worlds containing the names of the people of Paradise, and the names of their fathers and forefathers and their tribes; then a total has been drawn up at the end of them (that is, their number has been completed), so nothing will ever be added to them or taken away from them. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said about the book in his left hand: This is a book from the Lord of the Worlds containing the names of the people of Hell, and the names of their fathers and forefathers and their tribes; then at the end of them too the number has been completed, so there will never be any increase or decrease in them either. Keep to the right course and be moderate, for the one destined for Paradise will have his life sealed with the deeds of the people of Paradise, whatever deeds he may have done (in his life), and the one destined for Hell will have his life sealed with the deeds of the people of Hell, whatever deeds he may have done. Your Lord has finished deciding about His servants: {A group will be in Paradise and a group in the Blazing Fire (Hell)}. [Surah al-Shura: 7]"

«أترضون أن تكونوا ربع أهل الجنة؟ أترضون أن تكونوا ثلث أهل الجنة؟ أترضون أن تكونوا شطر أهل الجنة؟ إن الجنة لا يدخلها إلا نفس مسلمة وما أنتم في الشرك إلا كالشعرة البيضاء في جلد الثور الأسود أو كالشعرة السوداء في جلد الثور الأحمر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Are you pleased to be a quarter of the people of Paradise? Are you pleased to be a third of the people of Paradise? Are you pleased to be half of the people of Paradise? Only a Muslim (submissive) soul will enter Paradise, and you, compared with the polytheists, are merely like a white hair on the hide of a black bull, or a black hair on the hide of a red bull."

«اتركوا الحبشة ما تركوكم فإنه لا يستخرج كنز الكعبة إلا ذو السويقتين من الحبشة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Leave the Abyssinians alone as long as they leave you alone (that is, do not be the first to fight them), for no one will take out the treasure of the Ka'bah except a man with two thin shins from Abyssinia."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Leave me alone regarding what I have left for you (that is, do not probe into it); but when I tell you something, then take it from me firmly, for those before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning of their Prophets and their disagreeing with them."

«أتريد أن تكون فتانا يا معاذ؟ إذا صليت بالناس فاقرأ ب {َالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا} و {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى} و {َاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى} و {اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ} »
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Mu'adh! Do you want to put people to trial (hardship)? When you lead people in prayer, recite surahs such as {By the sun and its brightness} [Surah al-Shams], {Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High} [Surah al-A'la], {By the night when it covers} [Surah al-Layl] and {Read in the name of your Lord} [Surah al-'Alaq]."
"O Mu'adh! Do you want to put people to trial (hardship)? When you lead people in prayer, recite surahs such as {By the sun and its brightness} [Surah al-Shams], {Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High} [Surah al-A'la], {By the night when it covers} [Surah al-Layl] and {Read in the name of your Lord} [Surah al-'Alaq]."
«أتريد أن تميتها موتات؟ هلا حددت شفرتك قبل أن تضجعها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you want to make it die many deaths? Why did you not sharpen your knife before laying it down on the ground?!"

«أتزعمون أني من آخركم وفاة؟ ألا وإني من أولكم وفاة وتتبعوني أفنادا يقتل بعضكم بعضا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you think that I will be the last of you to die? Listen! I am among the first of you to die, and you will follow me in different groups, killing one another."

«أتسمعون ما أسمع؟ إني لأسمع أطيط السماء وما تلام أن تئط وما فيها موضع شبر إلا وعليه ملك ساجد أو قائم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you hear what I hear? I hear the creaking of the sky, and it is right for it to creak, for there is not a space of a hand-span in it except that an angel is there in prostration or standing."

«أتعلم؟ أول زمرة تدخل الجنة من أمتي فقراء المهاجرين يأتون يوم القيامة إلى باب الجنة ويستفتحون فيقول لهم الخزنة: أو قد حوسبتم؟ قالوا: بأي شيء نحاسب وإنما كانت أسيافنا على عواتقنا في سبيل الله حتى متنا على ذلك؟ فيفتح لهم فيقيلون فيها أربعين عاما قبل أن يدخلها الناس»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know? The first group of my Ummah to enter Paradise will be the poor Muhajirun. They will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and ask for it to be opened, and the keepers of Paradise will ask them: Have you been brought to account? They will reply: For what should we be brought to account? We kept our swords on our shoulders in the path of Allah until we died in that state. So the gate will be opened for them, and they will be resting in Paradise forty years before the other people enter it."
"Do you know? The first group of my Ummah to enter Paradise will be the poor Muhajirun. They will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and ask for it to be opened, and the keepers of Paradise will ask them: Have you been brought to account? «اتق الله حيثما كنت وأتبع السيئة الحسنة تمحها وخالق الناس بخلق حسن»

"Fear Allah wherever you are, follow an evil deed with a good deed and it will wipe it out, and treat people with good character."

«اتق الله ولا تحقرن من المعروف شيئا ولو أن تفرغ من دلوك في إناء المستسقي وأن تلقى أخاك ووجهك إليه منبسط وإياك وإسبال الإزار فإن إسبال الإزار من المخيلة ولا يحبها الله وإن امرؤ شتمك وعيرك بأمر ليس هو فيك فلا تعيره بأمر هو فيه ودعه يكون وباله عليه وأجره لك ولا تسبن أحدا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fear Allah and never regard any good deed as insignificant, even if it is pouring water from your bucket into the vessel of one who asks for water, or meeting your brother with a cheerful (smiling) face. And beware of letting your izar (lower garment) hang below the ankles, for letting the izar hang down is a sign of arrogance, and Allah does not love arrogance. And if a person abuses you and taunts you with a fault that is not in you, do not taunt him with a fault that is in him; leave him, its evil consequence will be upon him and its reward will be for you. And never abuse anyone."

«اتق الله يا أبا الوليد لا تأتي يوم القيامة ببعير تحمله وله رغاء أو بقرة لها خوار أو شاة لها ثؤاج»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Abu al-Walid! Fear Allah, lest you come on the Day of Resurrection carrying on your back a groaning camel, or a lowing cow, or a bleating goat."

«اتق المحارم تكن أعبد الناس وارض بما قسم الله لك تكن أغنى الناس وأحسن إلى جارك تكن مؤمنا وأحب للناس ما تحب لنفسك تكن مسلما ولا تكثر الضحك فإن كثرة الضحك تميت القلب»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Avoid what has been made unlawful, and you will be the most devout worshipper among people. Be content with what Allah has allotted to you, and you will be the richest (most self-sufficient) of people. Treat your neighbour well, and you will be a complete believer. Love for people what you love for yourself, and you will be a true Muslim. And do not laugh much, for excessive laughter deadens the heart."

«اتقوا الظلم فإن الظلم ظلمات يوم القيامة»

"Beware of oppression, for indeed oppression will be (deep) darkness on the Day of Resurrection."

«اتقوا الظلم فإن الظلم ظلمات يوم القيامة واتقوا الشح فإن الشح أهلك من كان قبلكم وحملهم على أن سفكوا دماءهم واستحلوا محارمهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware of oppression, for indeed oppression will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection; and beware of stinginess and greed, for indeed it was this greed that destroyed those before you and drove them to shed one another's blood and to make lawful what had been made unlawful for them."

"Fear Allah, for the most treacherous of you in our sight is the one who himself seeks a post (or office)."

«اتقوا الله في البهائم المعجمة فاركبوها صالحة وكلوها صالحة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fear Allah regarding these speechless animals: ride them while they are healthy and fit for riding, and eat them (slaughter them) while they are healthy (and well-fed)."

"Keep fearing Allah regarding the prayer and regarding those whom you own (that is, male and female slaves)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Fear Allah, pray your five (obligatory) prayers, fast your month (of Ramadan), pay the zakah on your wealth willingly, and obey your rulers; (by the blessing of these deeds) you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."

"Beware of two deeds that bring down curses: one is the person who relieves himself on the people's path, and the other the one who does so in the place where they take shade."

«اتقوا الملاعن الثلاث: البراز في الموارد وقارعة الطريق والظل»

"Beware of three deeds that bring down curses: relieving oneself at watering places, in the middle of the road, and in a shaded place."

"Beware of three deeds that bring down curses: that any one of you should sit to relieve himself in a shade where people rest, or on a public road, or in standing water."

"Protect yourselves from the Fire of Hell, even if it be with (giving in charity) a piece of a date."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Protect yourselves from the Fire of Hell, even if it be with (giving in charity) a piece of a date; and if you do not find even that, then save yourself from the Fire with a good word (spoken gently)."

«اتقوا بيتا يقال له الحمام فمن دخله فليستتر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware of the house (that is, the public bath) that is called the hammam; whoever enters it should cover his private parts ('awrah)."

"Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for it is carried up upon the clouds, and Allah Almighty says: 'By My Might and My Majesty, I shall surely help you, even if it be after some time.'"

"Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, even if he is a disbeliever, for indeed there is no veil (or barrier) before it (the supplication)."
