«أتدرون ما الغيبة؟ ذكرك أخاك بما يكره إن كان فيه ما تقول فقد اغتبته وإن لم يكن فيه فقد بهته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you know what backbiting (ghibah) is? It is your mentioning your brother in a way he dislikes. If what you say is in him, you have backbitten him, and if it is not in him, you have slandered him."
