Hadith Beginning with the Letter Ba (ب)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There are two sins whose punishment is hastened in this very world: (one) oppression and transgression, and (the other) disobedience to parents."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to pray Witr before true dawn (subh sadiq) breaks."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to do good deeds before six things appear: the rule of fools, an abundance of police (oppressive officials), the selling of judgements (bribery), treating blood (human life) lightly, the severing of family ties, and the rise of a new generation who will make the Qur'an into musical instruments; they will put forward one of them to sing (the Qur'an) to them, even if he is the least of them in understanding of the religion."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to do good deeds before six things appear: the rising of the sun from the west, the smoke, the Beast of the Earth (Dabbat al-Ard), the Dajjal, the particular calamity that comes to one of you (that is, death), and the general calamity (that is, the establishment of the Hour)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to do good deeds before the coming of (terrible) trials like pieces of a dark night. (In the time of those trials) a man will be a believer in the morning and become a disbeliever by evening, and be a believer in the evening and become a disbeliever by morning; one of them will sell his religion for a small amount of the goods of this world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Hasten to offer the Maghrib prayer before the stars rise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"For my Companions, simply being killed (that is, sacrificing their lives in the way of Allah) is sufficient (as an honour and martyrdom)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Bravo, bravo! How heavy five things are in the Scale of deeds: saying 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah), saying 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah), saying 'Al-hamdu lillah' (All praise is for Allah), saying 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), and a righteous child of a Muslim man who dies and he bears it patiently, hoping for reward."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever takes up residence among the polytheists in their lands (settling there permanently), the guarantee of protection (of the Islamic state) is free of him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The righteousness of Hajj (or the sign of an accepted Hajj) is feeding people and speaking to them gently and pleasantly."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the servant of Allah and His Messenger, to Heraclius, the great ruler of Rome. Peace be upon whoever follows guidance. To proceed: I invite you with the call of Islam. Accept Islam and you will be safe; Allah will give you your reward twice over. And if you turn away, then upon you will also be the sin of the Arisiyyin (that is, the peasants and subjects). And: 'O People of the Book! Come to a word that is equal between us and you: that we worship none but Allah, and associate nothing with Him, and that none of us takes others as lords besides Allah. Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims.' [Surah Al Imran: 64]"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is the document by which al-Adda' bin Khalid bin Hawdhah made a purchase from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He has bought from him (peace and blessings be upon him) a male or female slave, on condition that there is no disease, no defect and no hidden wickedness (or deception) in it. This is a (clean) sale of one Muslim to another Muslim."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The glad tidings of this world (refers to) a righteous dream."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Give those who walk to the mosques in the darkness the glad tidings of the complete light they will receive on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Give the people the glad tidings that whoever says 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah' (There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner), Paradise becomes obligatory for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Give this Ummah the glad tidings of eminence, (the ascendancy of) the religion, exaltation, help and dominance in the land. So whoever among them does the deeds of the Hereafter (good deeds) to obtain this world will have no share in the Hereafter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Give Khadijah the glad tidings of a palace of hollow pearl in Paradise, in which there will be neither noise nor any fatigue or toil."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Buthan (a valley of Madinah) lies upon one of the pools of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been sent to the people of al-Baqi' to pray (the prayer of seeking forgiveness) for them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I and the Hour have been sent together like these two fingers (in the closest of times)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been sent with Jawami' al-Kalim (that is, comprehensive words whose wording is brief and whose meanings are vast), and I have been helped with awe (struck into the enemy); and while I was asleep, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought to me and placed in my hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been sent with the sword shortly before the Hour, until Allah Almighty alone is worshipped, who has no partner. My provision has been placed beneath the shade of my spear, and humiliation and disgrace have been imposed upon whoever opposes my command. And whoever imitates a people is one of them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been sent in the breezes of the Hour (that is, at a time very close to the Hour)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have only been sent to perfect good character."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I was sent through the best generations of the children of Adam, one generation after another (that is, my light kept passing through the best lineages), until I was raised in the generation in which I now am."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Be quick to break the fast and delay the pre-dawn meal (suhur) (that is, eat it late)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Rather, it is Allah Almighty who lowers and raises (prices), and I hope to meet Allah Almighty in a state where none of you has any claim of wrongdoing (or any right) against me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Convey from me (to the people), even if it is a single verse; and narrate the accounts of the Children of Israel, there is no harm in that; and whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire of Hell."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Keep your ties of kinship moist (with the freshness of maintaining relations), even if it is only by greeting with salam."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Banu Hashim and Banu al-Muttalib are one and the same (in rank and ruling)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The edifice of Islam has been built upon five things: bearing witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayer, paying zakah, performing Hajj to the House of Allah, and fasting in Ramadan."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Blessing has been placed for my Ummah in their early mornings (in rising and working early)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Water is sprinkled on the urine of a nursing boy (and it becomes pure), and the urine of a nursing girl is washed (properly)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Alas for you, O son of Sumayyah (Ammar bin Yasir)! A rebellious group will kill you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A house in which there are no dates, its people are hungry."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A house in which there are no dates is just like a house in which there is no food."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The worst mount of a man (that is, the worst support for his speech) is to say, 'People claim so' (that is, to keep spreading hearsay without verification)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How bad it is for one of you to say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such a verse'; rather, he has in fact been made to forget it (so he should say that he was made to forget it)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Between a man and polytheism (shirk) and disbelief (the only dividing line) is abandoning the prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The difference between disbelief and faith is abandoning the prayer."
