«إن هذا الوباء رجز أهلك الله به الأمم قبلكم وقد بقي منه في الأرض شيء يجيء أحيانا ويذهب أحيانا فإذا وقع بأرض فلا تخرجوا منها فرارا وإذا سمعتم به في أرض فلا تأتوها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this epidemic is a punishment by which Allah destroyed the nations before you, and some of it now remains in the earth; it comes at times and goes at times. So when it spreads in a land (region), do not leave it to flee from it; and when you hear about a land that this epidemic is there, do not go there."
