«إن هذه الصلاة - يعني العصر - عرضت على من كان قبلكم فضيعوها فمن حافظ منكم اليوم عليها كان له أجره مرتين ولا صلاة بعدها حتى يطلع الشاهد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this prayer (that is, the Asr prayer) was presented to the nations before you and they neglected it. So whoever among you guards it today will have his reward twice over, and there is no prayer after it until the shahid (a star) appears."
