Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A nation will enter Paradise with all of its people. They are those who do not seek ruqyah (incantation), do not have themselves cauterised, and rely upon their Lord."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know. The sahih (authentic) hadiths on this subject are those concerning the one who will enter Paradise without any reckoning.

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things are part of sorcery: ruqyah (incantation, that is, chanting spells), tiwalah, and amulets." Ali bin Yazid says: Tiwalah means that a woman does something to her husband so that he comes to love her.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Yazid al-Alhani, and he is da'if (weak).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ibn al-Samit, Jibril performed ruqyah on me, by which I recovered. Shall I not teach you those words?" I said: Yes, indeed! Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a marfu' hadith: "These words are a cure for every illness: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah Almighty, and in all of His names in general, from the evil of the venomous creature and the vermin, and from the evil of the afflicting evil eye, and from the evil of the envier when he envies, and from the evil of Abu Qitrah and what he has begotten.'" [The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:] "Thirty-three angels come to their Lord and say: 'There is illness, illness in our land.' The Lord says: 'Take from your land and wipe it over your sick one.' This is the ruqyah of Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Whoever takes payment for it, or conceals it from anyone, will never succeed."
Abu Ya'la, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it, and he (al-Tabarani) added these words: "in our land", and he reported these words: "Take soil from your land"; the rest of the narration is as before.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by, both of them children. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring my two sons to me, so that I may perform on them the ruqyah with which Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) used to seek protection for his two sons, Sayyiduna Isma'il and Sayyiduna Ishaq." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited these words: "I place you both under the protection of the perfect words of Allah Almighty from every afflicting evil eye, and from every devil and every hammah (ill-omened thing)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Dhakwan, whom Shu'bah and Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), and a group declared da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ruqyah on Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) by reciting this: "I place you both under the protection of the perfect words of Allah Almighty from the evil of everything that He has created and made."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ahmad bin Harun, and a narrator, Ibn Rawh. If this narrator is Ahmad bin Harun al-Baladi or Ahmad bin Harun al-Missisi, then he is da'if (weak), and if he is someone other than these two, then I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy), except for Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, for he has a poor memory.

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out, and Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. When the two of them reached the stony ground (al-Harrah), a snake bit Abd al-Rahman bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Call Amr bin Hazm to me!" He presented the words of his ruqyah to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no harm in it; perform ruqyah on him!" Ibn Hazm placed his hand on him and said: O Messenger of Allah, he is about to die, or he has already died. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ruqyah on him, even if he has died, or even if he is about to die." He performed ruqyah on him, and Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) recovered and went on his way.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Bishr bin Abdullah bin Mukayth, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this report range between thiqah (trustworthy) and mastur (of unknown standing).

Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was suffering from fever. He said: "Shall I not teach you a ruqyah that Jibril performed on me?" I said: Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Its words are:) "Seeking blessing by the name of Allah Almighty, I perform ruqyah on you; may Allah Almighty heal you from every illness that afflicts you (or that you wish to be cured of)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take it, and may it (the knowledge of it) bring you joy."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher al-Miqdam bin Dawud, and he is da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy). I say: Other hadiths of this kind will come later, in the chapter on adhkar (remembrances) and in the chapter on seeking refuge, about what one should recite in the morning and evening, if Allah wills.
