Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A ruqyah for stings was mentioned before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Present its words to me." The people presented its words to him, which were: 'Bismillah, qarniyyatun shajjatun milhatu bahrin qifta'. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are the covenants that Sayyiduna Sulayman (peace be upon him) took from the venomous creatures; I see no harm in it."
The narrator says: Once a man was with Alqamah and something stung him. He performed ruqyah on him with these words, and the man recovered as though he had been released from a tether.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
