Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Sabit (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) suffered from a throat ailment until it caused him pain, and the signs of that pain were seen on him. Jibril came to him and said: Your Lord has sent me to you so that I may perform ruqyah on you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) uncovered his head, and Jibril recited: "Seeking blessing by the name of Allah Almighty, I perform ruqyah on you against every evil that harms you, and against the evil of the eye of every envier I perform ruqyah on you." He repeated these words over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) three times, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recovered.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Aban al-Ju'fi, and he is da'if (weak).
