Sayyiduna Jabalah bin al-Azraq (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his Companions in prayer beside a wall with many stones; he led them in the Zuhr or Asr prayer. When he sat after two rak'ahs, a scorpion came out and stung him, and he fainted. The people performed ruqyah on him, and when he regained consciousness he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has healed me; your ruqyah has not healed me."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Bakr bin Sahl, from Abdullah bin Salih, the scribe of al-Layth. Both of them have been declared da'if (weak) and have also been declared thiqah (trustworthy); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
