Hadith Beginning with the Letter Kaf (ك)

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished his prayer, he would seek forgiveness three times, then say: 'O Allah, You are Peace and from You is peace; blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to his bed, he would say: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amana wa saqana wa kafana wa awana, fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wa la mu'wiya lah' (All praise is for Allah who fed us, gave us drink, sufficed us and gave us shelter; for how many are there who have no one to suffice them and no one to give them shelter)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When people gave him (peace and blessings be upon him) the pledge of allegiance, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would teach them these words: 'As far as I am able.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent one of his Companions for some task, he would say: 'Give glad tidings and do not drive people away, and make things easy and do not make them difficult.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When something reached him (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not say: 'What is the matter with so-and-so that he says such a thing?' Rather, he would say: 'What is the matter with people who say such and such?'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned over in his sleep at night, he would say: 'La ilaha illallahu al-Wahidu al-Qahhar, Rabbu as-samawati wal-ardi wa ma baynahuma al-Azizu al-Ghaffar' (There is no true god but Allah, the One, the Subduer of all, the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the Oft-Forgiving)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) said something, he would repeat it three times so that it would be understood, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to a people and greeted them with salam, he would greet them three times."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed Tahajjud, he would give the salam after every two rak'ahs."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would take a handful of water, bring it under his chin and run it through his beard, and he would say: My Lord has commanded me to do so."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would take a handful of water and sprinkle it on his private parts."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would pass the water around both his elbows (making sure it reached them well)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would run water through his beard."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would rub between the toes of his feet with his little finger."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When news that pleased him came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would fall down in prostration in gratitude to Allah Almighty."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) sat, he would sit in ihtiba' with his hands (clasping his knees)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When a matter troubled him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) swore an oath, he would not break it, until the ruling on the expiation for oaths was revealed."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) swore an oath, he would say: By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) feared a people, he would say: O Allah, we place You before them (as a shield), and we seek refuge in You from their evil."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out of the toilet, he would say: O Allah, I ask for Your forgiveness."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) left his house, he would say: In the name of Allah, I have put my trust in Allah. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from slipping or going astray, from doing wrong or being wronged, and from acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) left his house, he would say: In the name of Allah. O Lord, I seek refuge in You from slipping or going astray, from doing wrong or being wronged, and from acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went out on the day of Eid by one route, he would return by another."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon, his (peace and blessings be upon him) eyes would turn red, his voice would rise and his anger would intensify, as though he (peace and blessings be upon him) were someone warning of an army's attack, saying: The enemy is about to attack you in the morning or the evening."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the toilet, he would say: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female evil jinn."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When the last ten days of Ramadan began, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would tighten his waist-wrapper, spend his nights awake (in worship), and wake his family as well."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the toilet, he would say: In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female evil jinn."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque, he would say: I seek refuge in Allah the Magnificent, in His Noble Face and in His eternal authority from Satan the accursed. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever says this is protected from him (Satan) for the rest of the day."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque, he would say: O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and upon the wives of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered his house, the first thing he did was use the miswak."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit a sick person, he would say: No harm; if Allah wills, this illness is a purification (washing away sins)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered a house, he would say: Do you have any food? If he was told no, he would say: Then I am fasting."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, he would begin with himself."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, he would turn the inner side of his palms towards his face."

"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a sheep, he would say: Send some of it to the friends of Khadijah."

"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned someone and supplicated for him, he would first supplicate for himself."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to relieve himself, he would go far away."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw rain, he would say: O Allah, make it a beneficial rain."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the new crescent moon, he would say: O Allah, let it rise over us with blessing and faith, with safety and Islam. O moon, my Lord and your Lord is Allah."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw something he liked, he would say: 'Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi bi-ni'matihi tatimmus-salihat' (All praise is for Allah, by whose favour good deeds are completed), and when he saw something he disliked, he would say: 'Alhamdu lillahi 'ala kulli hal' (All praise is for Allah in every circumstance)."
