Hadith Beginning with the Letter Kaf (ك)

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When food was placed before him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah). And when he had finished, he would say: O Allah, You have fed, given drink, enriched, provided sufficiency in the means of life, guided and chosen. O Allah, to You alone belongs all praise for what You have given."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a military expedition, Hajj or Umrah, he would say the takbir three times on every elevated place of the land, then he would say: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Ayibuna, ta'ibuna, 'abiduna, sajiduna, li-Rabbina hamidun. Sadaqallahu wa'dah, wa nasara 'abdah, wa hazamal-ahzaba wahdah' (There is no true god but Allah, He is alone and has no partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. We are returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating, and praising our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and alone defeated the confederate armies of the enemy)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When fresh dates were available, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast only with fresh dates, and when fresh dates were not available, he would break his fast with dried dates."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in bowing (ruku') or prostration, he would say: O Allah, You are free of all imperfection and Yours alone is the praise; I seek Your forgiveness and I turn to You in repentance."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting, he would order a man to climb onto some high place, and when that man said that the sun had set, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in an odd-numbered rak'ah of his prayer, he would not stand up until he had sat up fully."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When it was the day before the Day of Tarwiyah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would address the people in a sermon and inform them of their rites (of Hajj)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was resident, he would observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan, and when he was on a journey, he would observe i'tikaf for twenty days the following year."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When it was the day of Eid, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would take a different route (on his return)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When some matter distressed him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: O Ever-Living, O Sustainer of all! In Your mercy I seek relief."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked something, it would become apparent on his (peace and blessings be upon him) face."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) put on a shirt, he would begin with the right side."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When one of his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions met him (peace and blessings be upon him) and stood with him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not turn away until that man himself left. And when one of his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions met him (peace and blessings be upon him) and took hold of his (peace and blessings be upon him) hand, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not withdraw his hand until that man himself withdrew his hand. And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) met one of his Companions and that Companion drew close to his (peace and blessings be upon him) ear and took hold of it, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not pull it away until that man himself moved away."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When one of his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions met him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would touch him affectionately and supplicate for him."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When, during recitation, he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed a verse that spoke of the fear of punishment, he would seek refuge; when he passed a verse of mercy, he would ask Allah (for it); and when he passed a verse that declared Allah's transcendence, he would glorify Him."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When any member of his (peace and blessings be upon him) household fell ill, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the Mu'awwidhat and blow over him."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked, he would lift his feet firmly."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked, it was as if he (peace and blessings be upon him) were leaning on something."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked, he would not look back."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked, his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions would walk in front of him (peace and blessings be upon him) and leave his (peace and blessings be upon him) back for the angels."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) slept through the night (missing his night prayer) or fell ill, he would pray twelve rak'ahs during the day."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) slept, he would breathe with a light sound."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to sleep, he would place his right hand under his cheek and make this supplication: O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When some worry or grief befell him (peace and blessings be upon him), he would make this supplication: O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining! Through Your mercy I call for help."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When revelation came down upon him (peace and blessings be upon him), a heaviness would come over him because of it, and sweat like pearls would pour from his forehead, even if it was the cold season."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped at a halting place, he would not move on without praying the Zuhr prayer."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) had intercourse with one of his wives and felt reluctant to get up (for the ritual bath), he would strike his hand on the wall and perform tayammum."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) bade farewell to a man, he would take hold of his hand and would not let go of it until the man himself withdrew his hand, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: 'Astawdi'ullaha dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima 'amalik' (I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust and the final outcome of your deeds)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed the deceased in his grave, he would say: 'Bismillahi wa billahi wa fi sabilillahi wa 'ala millati Rasulillah' (In the name of Allah, with the help of Allah, in the path of Allah and upon the religion of the Messenger of Allah)."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) was the most merciful of all people towards children and family."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"His (peace and blessings be upon him) complexion was radiant (white tinged with red), his sweat glistened like pearls, and when he walked he would lean forward."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) was more modest than a secluded virgin girl."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"The oath he (peace and blessings be upon him) swore most often was: 'No, by the One who turns the hearts (Allah)!'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"His (peace and blessings be upon him) most frequent supplication was: 'Ya Muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik' (O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion). He was asked about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'There is no human being except that his heart is between two of the fingers of Allah; whomever He wills He keeps firm, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"The supplication he (peace and blessings be upon him) made most often was: 'Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"Most of his (peace and blessings be upon him) fasts were on Saturday and Sunday, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: 'These two are the festival days of the polytheists, so I love to oppose them.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"He (peace and blessings be upon him) fasted most often on Monday and Thursday. He was asked about this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Deeds are presented every Monday and Thursday, and every Muslim is forgiven except two people who have cut off relations with each other, and Allah Almighty says: Give these two respite.'"

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"People would knock at his (peace and blessings be upon him) door with their fingernails."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"His (peace and blessings be upon him) eyes would sleep, but his heart would not sleep."

It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"The Seal of Prophethood was on his (peace and blessings be upon him) back in the form of a raised piece of flesh."
