«كان أكثر صومه السبت والأحد ويقول: هما يوما عيد المشركين فأحب أن أخالفهم»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"Most of his (peace and blessings be upon him) fasts were on Saturday and Sunday, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: 'These two are the festival days of the polytheists, so I love to oppose them.'"
