«كان إذا كان الرطب لم يفطر إلا على الرطب وإذ لم يكن الرطب لم يفطر إلا على التمر»
It was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"When fresh dates were available, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast only with fresh dates, and when fresh dates were not available, he would break his fast with dried dates."
