Hadith Beginning with the Letter Mim (م)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer is the one from whom people are safe regarding their wealth and their lives, and the emigrant (muhajir) is the one who abandons sins and wrongdoings."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer among the people of faith is like the head in the body; the believer feels pain for the people of faith just as the body feels the pain of the head."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer eats with the capacity of one intestine, whereas the disbeliever eats with the capacity of seven intestines."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer is sociable, and there is no good in a person who neither gets along with others nor is gotten along with."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer gets along with others and others get along with him, and there is no good in a person who neither gets along with others nor is gotten along with; and the best of people is the one who is most beneficial to people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer drinks with the capacity of one intestine, whereas the disbeliever drinks with the capacity of seven intestines."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer feels protective jealousy (ghayrah), and Allah Almighty is the most intense in protective jealousy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer dies with sweat on his forehead."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The blood of the believers is equal; they are one hand against those besides them, and even the lowest of them may grant protection on their behalf. Beware! A believer is not to be killed in retaliation for a disbeliever, nor one under a covenant during the term of his covenant. Whoever commits a crime, it is upon himself; and whoever commits a crime or shelters a criminal, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believers are like one body; if its head aches, the rest of the whole body joins it in fever and sleeplessness."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believers are like one body; if its head aches, the whole body feels the pain, and if its eye aches, the whole body feels the pain."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believers are gentle and soft-natured, like the camel with a nose-rein: if it is led, it follows, and if it is made to kneel even on a rock, it kneels."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who is skilled in the Qur'an will be with the noble and righteous scribe angels, and the one who recites it stammering, finding it difficult, will have a double reward."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The invitations of two people who host feasts out of pride and rivalry are not to be accepted, nor is their food to be eaten."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The seller and the buyer both have the option (to cancel) as long as they have not separated, unless the transaction was made with a stipulated option; and it is not lawful for one to leave his companion for fear that he might ask to cancel the transaction."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The seller and the buyer both have the option (to cancel) as long as they have not separated, unless the sale was made with a stipulated option; and if the sale was made with a stipulated option, the sale becomes binding."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Each of the seller and the buyer has the option over the other as long as they have not separated, except in a sale with a stipulated option."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who falsely claims to have what he has not been given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one who holds firmly to my Sunnah at the time of my Ummah's disagreement is like one who holds a live coal in his hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The woman whose husband has died should not wear clothes dyed with safflower (yellow), nor clothes dyed with red ochre, nor jewellery; nor should she apply henna, nor apply kohl."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gatherings are a trust (what is said in them is confidential)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The mujahid is the one who strives against his own self for the sake of Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The woman in ihram should neither wear a face veil (niqab) nor gloves."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The women who seek khul' (separation at their own request) are the hypocrites."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The defendant has the greater right to take the oath, unless evidence is established against him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Madinah is a sanctuary from Ayr to Thawr. Whoever introduces an innovation in it or shelters an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people; Allah Almighty will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any voluntary deed or obligatory one. The protection of the Muslims is one, and even the lowest of them may grant it; so whoever violates the protection of a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people; Allah Almighty will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any voluntary deed or obligatory one. And whoever attributes his lineage to other than his father, or ascribes himself to other than his mawali, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people; Allah Almighty will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any voluntary deed or obligatory one."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Madinah is a sanctuary from Ayr to Thawr. Its grass is not to be cut, its game is not to be disturbed, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it. It is not proper for a man to carry weapons in it for fighting, nor is it proper for any of its trees to be cut, except that a man may cut to feed his camel."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Madinah is a sanctuary from such-and-such a place to such-and-such a place. Its trees are not to be cut, nor is any innovation to be introduced in it. Whoever introduces an innovation in it or shelters an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people; Allah Almighty will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any voluntary deed or obligatory one."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Madinah is a safe sanctuary."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Disputing about the Qur'an is disbelief."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A person is counted as being in prayer as long as he is waiting for it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A person will be with the one he loves."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A woman is to be covered; when she goes out of the house, Satan eyes her."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A woman belongs to the last of her husbands."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The whole of Muzdalifah is a place of standing."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Mizr (barley liquor), all of it, is unlawful."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Asking in supplication is that you raise your hands level with your shoulders; seeking forgiveness is that you point with one finger; and ibtihal (imploring humbly) is that you stretch out both your hands fully."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Begging from people is scratches with which a man scars his own face; so whoever wishes may preserve his face, and whoever wishes may leave it, except that a man asks one in authority, or asks in a matter for which he finds no alternative."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two people who revile each other are two devils who speak obscenities to each other and lie against each other."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whatever two people who revile each other say, its sin is upon the one who began it, unless the wronged one exceeds the limit."
