«المسألة أن ترفع يديك حذو منكبيك والاستغفار أن تشير بأصبع واحدة والابتهال تمد يديك جميعا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Asking in supplication is that you raise your hands level with your shoulders; seeking forgiveness is that you point with one finger; and ibtihal (imploring humbly) is that you stretch out both your hands fully."
