Hadith Beginning with the Letter Kaf (ك)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"All of you are the children of Adam (peace be upon him), and Adam was created from dust. People who boast about their forefathers must certainly desist, or else they will become more contemptible in the sight of Allah than dung beetles."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Each of you is a guardian, and each of you will be asked about those in his charge. The ruler is a guardian and he will be asked about those in his charge; a man is the guardian of his family and he will be asked about those in his charge; a woman is the guardian of her husband's house and she will be asked about those in her charge; a servant is the guardian of his master's wealth and he will be asked about what is in his charge; and a man is the guardian of his father's wealth and he will be asked about what is in his charge. So each of you is a guardian, and each of you will be asked about those in his charge."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"All of you will enter Paradise, except the one who runs away from Allah as a camel runs away from its owners."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The words of relief from distress are: 'La ilaha illallahul-Halimul-Karim, la ilaha illallahul-Aliyyul-Azim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawatis-sab'i wa Rabbul-Arshil-Karim' (There is no true god except Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous; there is no true god except Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent; there is no true god except Allah, the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Noble Throne)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Two phrases are light on the tongue, heavy in the Scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful: 'Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi', 'Subhanallahil-Azim' (Glory be to Allah and with His praise; glory be to Allah, the Magnificent)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How many a person with dishevelled hair, covered in dust and wearing worn-out clothes, is paid no attention, yet if he were to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfil it. Among them is al-Bara' bin Malik."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How many hanging date clusters there are in Paradise for Ibn al-Dahdah!"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Just as grapes are not picked from thorns, likewise the wicked will not attain the stations of the righteous. So take whichever path you wish; whichever path you take, you will arrive at its people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Just as grapes are not picked from thorns, likewise the wicked will not attain the stations of the righteous. These are only two paths; whichever of them you take, you will reach your destination accordingly."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Just as the reward is multiplied for us, so too is the trial multiplied upon us."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Many among men attained perfection, but none among women attained perfection except Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh, and Maryam bint Imran. And the superiority of Aishah over other women is like the superiority of tharid over all other food."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveller."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Be scrupulously pious, and you will be the most devout worshipper among people; be content, and you will be the most grateful among people; love for people what you love for yourself, and you will be a believer; treat your neighbour well, and you will be a Muslim; and laugh little, for much laughter deadens the heart."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I was a Prophet even when Adam (peace be upon him) was still between the soul and the body (in the stage of creation)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I had forbidden you (from keeping nabidh in vessels) other than leather vessels; now you may drink from every vessel, only take care that you do not drink an intoxicant."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I had forbidden you from (certain) vessels; now you may make nabidh in them, but avoid every intoxicant."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I had forbidden you from visiting graves. Listen! Now visit them, for it softens the heart, brings tears to the eye and reminds of the Hereafter; but do not say anything indecent (during the visit)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I had forbidden you from (keeping) the meat of the sacrificial animals beyond three days, so that those with means would be generous towards those who have none. Now eat as much as you wish, feed others and store it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Remain at these sacred sites (masha'ir) of yours, for today you are upon one of the legacies of the legacy of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Stand in the row that is closest to me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when rulers are imposed over you who delay the prayer from its time? Pray the prayer at its time; then if you find them praying it, pray with them as well, and it will be a voluntary (nafl) prayer for you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when you are unable to collect (from the protected non-Muslims) either a dinar or a dirham? The covenant of Allah and the covenant of His Messenger will be violated, so Allah will harden the hearts of the protected people (ahl al-dhimmah), and they will withhold what is in their hands."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when Isa, the son of Maryam (peace be upon him), descends among you and he leads you in prayer?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when Isa, the son of Maryam (peace be upon him), descends among you while your imam is from among yourselves?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when the one with the Horn (the angel) has put the Horn to his mouth, bowed his forehead and inclined his ear, waiting for when he will be commanded to blow so that he blows?" The Companions said: "What should we say?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: Allah is sufficient for us and He is the best Disposer of affairs; in Allah we have put our trust."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be when rulers come over you who pray the prayer outside its proper time? Pray the prayer at its proper time, and make the prayer you pray with them (again) a voluntary prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will you be in a time that is soon to come, in which people will be sifted out as though through a sieve and only the dregs of people will remain, whose covenants and trusts will have become confused; they will fall into disagreement and become like this - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) interlaced his fingers -? At that time, hold to what you recognise and leave what you consider (false), turn to your own particular affairs and leave the affairs of the general public."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What would you say about the joy of a man whose mount broke loose from him and ran off dragging its halter in a barren land where there is neither food nor water, carrying his food and water upon it; he searched for it and could not find it until it became very hard for him; then it passed by the stump of a tree and its halter got caught on it, and he found it caught there? Listen! By Allah, Allah is more joyful at the repentance of His servant than that man at (finding) his mount."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How then (can I do it), when (about me) it has already been said?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will Allah purify a nation in which the weak cannot take his right from the strong without any hindrance?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"How will Allah purify a nation in which the right of the weak is not taken from the strong?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Measure your food (grain and the like), for blessing lies in food that is measured."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Measure your food, and you will be blessed in it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are: associating partners with Allah, disobedience to parents, killing a soul, and swearing a false oath."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are: associating partners with Allah, slandering a chaste woman, killing a believing soul, fleeing from the battlefield of jihad, consuming the wealth of an orphan, disobedience to Muslim parents, and deviating in (violating) the sanctity of the House (the Ka'bah), which is your qiblah both in life and in death."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are: associating partners with Allah, despairing of the relief of Allah, and losing hope in the mercy of Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are: associating partners with Allah, killing a soul, and disobedience to parents. Shall I not tell you of the greatest of the major sins? It is (speaking) false words."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are nine, the greatest of them being associating partners with Allah; then killing a soul unjustly, consuming usury (riba), consuming the wealth of an orphan, slandering a chaste woman, fleeing from the battlefield of jihad, disobedience to parents, and treating as lawful (the violation of) the sanctity of the Ka'bah, which is your qiblah both in life and in death."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The major sins are seven: associating partners with Allah, unjustly killing the soul that Allah has made sacred, slandering a chaste woman, fleeing from the battlefield of jihad, consuming usury (riba), consuming the wealth of an orphan, and returning to Bedouin life after the emigration (Hijrah)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Give precedence to the elder, give precedence to the elder."
