«كيف تقولون لفرح رجل انفلتت منه راحلته تجر زمامها بأرض قفر ليس بها طعام ولا شراب وعليها له طعام وشراب فطلبها فلم يجدها حتى شق عليه ثم مرت بجذل شجرة فتعلق زمامها فوجدها متعلقة به؟ أما والله لله أشد فرحا بتوبة عبده من الرجل براحلته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What would you say about the joy of a man whose mount broke loose from him and ran off dragging its halter in a barren land where there is neither food nor water, carrying his food and water upon it; he searched for it and could not find it until it became very hard for him; then it passed by the stump of a tree and its halter got caught on it, and he found it caught there? Listen! By Allah, Allah is more joyful at the repentance of His servant than that man at (finding) his mount."
