When evening came, he told them to go to the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When they reached the door, they asked permission, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Lower your curtain; I am calling my two cousins in." Then they told the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) of their need, and the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Nothing of the sadaqat is lawful for you, the people of the household (Ahl al-Bayt), nor the water of washing hands; but in the fifth of the khumus there is for you what will make you independent or suffice you."

(The debtor) said: O Messenger of Allah, this man has been pursuing me; I asked him for a respite of one month, but he refused unless I pay him or bring him a guarantor, and I said: By Allah, I cannot find a guarantor and I have nothing to pay with today.
