Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Shall I not tell you about the (travel) prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? We said: Of course. He said: When the sun passed its zenith while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was at his halting place, he would combine Zuhr and Asr before mounting; and if the sun did not pass its zenith while he was at his halting place, he would keep travelling until the time of Asr came, then dismount and combine Zuhr and Asr. And when the time of Maghrib came while he was at his halting place, he would combine Maghrib and Isha; and if the time of Maghrib did not come while he was at his halting place, he would remain mounted until the time of Isha came, then dismount and combine the two.
Abd al-Razzaq said: Ibn al-Miqdam said to me: We did not hear this hadith from Ibn Jurayj, and no one besides you has narrated it.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned and said: "Any Muslim who takes in an orphan from among two Muslims (parents), raising him and giving him his food and drink, will certainly enter Paradise, unless he commits a sin that is not forgiven. And whoever I take his two precious things from, and he is patient and hopes for reward, he will have no reward with Me other than Paradise." It was asked: What are his two precious things? He said: "His two eyes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "And whoever looks after three daughters, spends on them and gives them good upbringing, Allah will admit him to Paradise." A Bedouin asked: Or two daughters? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Or two daughters." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This is among the precious and outstanding words of hadith.
