حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ أَعْطِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ الْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلِّمْهُ التَّأْوِيلَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, grant Ibn Abbas wisdom and teach him interpretation (ta'wil)."
