حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقِ بْنِ جَامِعٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «إِذَا كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَارْتَحَلَ حِينَ تَزِيغُ الشَّمْسُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ، وَإِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ جَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey and set off at the time the sun passed its zenith, he would combine Zuhr and Asr; and if he set off before that, he would combine them at the time of Asr.
