Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 11526 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «رَدَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَتَهُ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا بِنِكَاحِهَا الْأَوَّلِ، وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned his daughter Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) to her husband on the basis of her first marriage, and did not do anything anew.
