Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at a funeral, and he said: "Shall I not tell you about the worst of Allah's servants? Every harsh and arrogant person. Shall I not tell you about the best of Allah's servants? Every weak person of lowly standing whose clothing is ordinary, who is not paid any attention, but (his state is such that) if he swears an oath by Allah, Allah Almighty fulfils it for him."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Jabir, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Shall I not tell you about the people of Hell and the people of Paradise? As for the people of Paradise, it is every weak person of lowly standing whose clothing is ordinary, (and whose state is such that) if he swears an oath by Allah, Allah Almighty fulfils it for him. As for the people of Hell, it is every corpulent person who greatly hoards (wealth) and withholds (that wealth from the path of Allah), and who has servants."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and the hadith he narrates is strengthened (by corroboration).

May he perish and be turned upside down, and if a thorn pricks him, may it not be pulled out. And congratulations to the servant who takes hold of his horse's reins to go in the path of Allah, the hair of his head dishevelled and his feet covered in dust.
