وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ يَا أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ ، بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : بَلَى . يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " كُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ ، جَوَّاظٍ ، مُسْتَكْبِرٍ ، جَمَّاعٍ مَنُوعٍ ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ كُلُّ مِسْكِينٍ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu al-Darda'! Shall I not tell you about the people of Hell?" I said: Yes! O Messenger of Allah! He said: "Every ill-tempered, self-conceited, arrogant person who hoards wealth and does not give (in the path of Allah). Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? Every poor person who, if he swears an oath by Allah, Allah Almighty fulfils it for him."
