وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ ، ذِي طِمْرَيْنِ ، مُصَفَّحٍ عَنْ أَبْوَابِ النَّاسِ ، لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى التَّيْمِيُّ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Among those with dishevelled hair and ordinary clothing, who are turned away from people's doors, there are many who, if one of them swears an oath by Allah, Allah Almighty fulfils it for him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Musa al-Taymi, who has been declared trustworthy. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
