Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17930

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) passed by a man who was in a state of agitation. Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) stood up and began praying to Allah Almighty to grant him well-being. It was said to him: O Musa! This is not a person who has been struck by some madness from Iblis; rather, he has kept himself hungry for My sake, and so his state is what you see. I look at him several times every day and I am pleased with his obedience. Tell him to pray for you, for every day he has the right to one special supplication from Me."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
