Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The people had at that time finished praying and supplicating. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Keep to the state you are in! He said: Receive glad tidings! (I think the narration has these words:) O company of the Muhajirun! (Receive these glad tidings) that on the Day of Resurrection you will attain success (in entering Paradise) five hundred years before the wealthy, until the wealthy man will wish that he had been a beggar." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Imam Abu Dawud recorded it, but he did not record these words: "The wealthy man will wish that he had been a beggar." Imam al-Bazzar recorded it.
