Nafi' narrates: When Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reached the near edge of the Haram, he would stop reciting the talbiyah. Then, when he reached Dhu Tuwa, he would spend the night there until morning came; he would offer the Fajr prayer and then take a bath, and he would relate that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had done the same. Then he would enter Makkah in the forenoon (duha) and come to the House of Allah, touch the Black Stone, and say: "Bismillah wallahu akbar (In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest)." Then he would perform ramal in three circuits of the tawaf, walking at a normal pace between the two corners. When he came to the Black Stone he would touch it and say the takbir, and he would complete four circuits of the tawaf walking at a normal pace. Then he would come to the Station of Ibrahim and offer two rak'ahs, then go back to the Black Stone and touch it, then go out towards Safa by the great gate. He would stand on it and say the takbir seven times, then recite: "La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir (There is no god but Allah, He alone, He has no partner; to Him belongs the dominion, to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things)."
