Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) touched all the corners (of the Ka'bah). Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touched only the two Yamani corners." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "None of its corners is to be left out." The narrator Shu'bah says: People have differed about this narration; some narrators said that it was Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said that no part of the House of Allah is to be left out. However, he retained it from Qatadah.
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
