Abdullah bin Ubayd bin Umayr narrates that he heard his father saying to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Why is it that I see you touching only these two corners, the Black Stone and the Yamani Corner?" Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "If I do so, the reason is that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'Touching these two wipes away sins.'" He related: "I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'Whoever performs seven circuits, counting them, and then offers two rak'ahs, it is for him like freeing a slave.'" He said: "I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'Whoever lifts a foot and puts a foot down, in return ten good deeds are written for him, ten of his sins are wiped away, and he is raised ten degrees.'" (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Imam Ibn Majah recorded part of this narration.
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, who is thiqah (trustworthy), but he had become mukhtalit (confused in his memory).
