وَعَنْ يَعْلَى قَالَ : طُفْتُ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ فَاسْتَلَمْنَا الرُّكْنَ . قَالَ يَعْلَى : فَكُنْتُ مِمَّا يَلِي الْبَيْتَ فَلَمَّا بَلَغْنَا الرُّكْنَ الْغَرْبِيَّ الَّذِي يَلِي الْأَسْوَدَ جَرَرْتُ بِيَدِهِ لِيَسْتَلِمَ قَالَ : مَا شَأْنُكَ ؟ فَقُلْتُ : أَلَا تَسْتَلِمُ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَالَ : أَلَمْ تَطُفْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قُلْتُ : بَلَى . قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتَهُ يَسْتَلِمُ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ الْغَرْبِيَّيْنِ ؟ قُلْتُ : لَا . قَالَ : أَفَلَيْسَ لَكَ فِيهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ ؟ ! قُلْتُ : بَلَى . قَالَ : فَانْفُذْ عَنْكَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَلَهُ عِنْدَ أَبِي يَعْلَى إِسْنَادَانِ رِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَلَهُ عِنْدَ أَبِي يَعْلَى إِسْنَادَانِ رِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
Sayyiduna Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I performed tawaf with Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him), and we touched the corner. Sayyiduna Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was among those on the side of the House of Allah. When we reached the Western Corner, which comes next to the Black Stone, I took hold of his hand so that he would touch it. He asked: "What is the matter?" I said: "Will you not touch it?" He asked: "Did you not perform tawaf with the Messenger of Allah?" I said: "Yes!" He said: "Did you see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touching these two western corners?" I replied: "No!" He said: "Is there not the best example for you in the way of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" I replied: "Yes!" He said: "Then pass on from it."
Imam Ahmad and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it. Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this narration with two chains, the narrators of one of which are the narrators of the Sahih. The chain of Imam Ahmad contains a narrator whose name has not been mentioned.
