«لا تقولوا السلام على الله فإن الله هوالسلام ولكن قولوا: التحيات لله والصلوات والطيبات السلام عليك أيها النبي ورحمة الله وبركاته السلام علينا وعلى عباد الله الصالحين فإنكم إذا قلتم ذلك أصاب كل عبد في السماء والأرض أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله ثم يتخير من الدعاء أعجبه إليه فيدعو به»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do not say, 'As-salamu 'ala Allah' (Peace be upon Allah), for Allah Himself is As-Salam (Peace). Rather, say: 'At-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibat, as-salamu 'alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, as-salamu 'alayna wa 'ala 'ibadillahis-salihin' (All verbal, physical and financial acts of worship are for Allah alone. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah), for when you say this, it reaches every servant in the heavens and the earth. 'Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh' (I bear witness that there is no true god except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger). Then let him choose whichever supplication he likes and supplicate with it."

"The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from the west. When it rises and the people see it, they will all believe; but that will be the time when faith will not benefit a person who had not believed before or had not earned some good through his faith. And the Hour will be established while two men have spread a garment between them, and they will neither be able to complete its sale nor fold it up. And the Hour will be established while a man has returned with the milk of his she-camel, and he will not be able to drink it. And the Hour will be established while a man is plastering his watering trough, and he will not be able to water his animals from it. And the Hour will be established while a man has raised his morsel to his mouth, and he will not be able to eat it."

And the Hour will not be established until you fight a people whose sandals are made of hair. And a time will surely come upon one of you when seeing me will be dearer to him than having the like of his family and wealth."

"The Hour will not be established until you fight the Jews, until even the stone behind which a Jew is hiding will say: 'O Muslim! There is a Jew behind me, so kill him.'"

"The Hour will not be established until you fight a people with small eyes and broad faces, as if their eyes were like the eyes of locusts and their faces like shields covered with leather. They will wear sandals of hair and use small shields, until they tie their horses to the date palms."

"The Hour will not be established until two great groups fight each other whose claim is one and the same. And the Hour will not be established until nearly thirty lying Dajjals appear, each of them claiming that he is the Messenger of Allah."

"The Hour will not be established until some tribes of my Ummah join the polytheists and until idols are worshipped. And indeed, there will be thirty liars in my Ummah, each of them claiming that he is a prophet, whereas I am Khatam an-Nabiyyin (the Seal of the Prophets); there is no prophet after me."

O servant of Allah! There is a Jew behind me, so come and kill him,' except the gharqad tree, for it is one of the trees of the Jews."

"The Hour will not be established until the Romans land at al-A'maq or at Dabiq. Then an army from Madinah, the best of the people of the earth at that time, will go out to them. When they line up in ranks, the Romans will say: 'Leave us to those of ours who were taken captive from among us; we will fight them.' The Muslims will say: 'No, by Allah! We will not stand aside between you and our brothers.' So they will fight them. A third will be defeated and flee, and Allah will never accept their repentance; a third will be killed, and they will be the most excellent of martyrs in the sight of Allah; and a third will be victorious, and they will never be put to trial. Then they will conquer Constantinople. While they are dividing the spoils, having hung their swords on the olive trees, Satan will suddenly cry out among them: 'The Masih ad-Dajjal has taken your place among your families behind you!' So they will set out, though it will be a lie. Then when they reach Syria, he will appear. While they are preparing for battle and straightening the ranks, the prayer will be called, and Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him) will descend and lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah sees him, he will begin to dissolve as salt dissolves in water; and even if he were left alone, he would go on dissolving until he perished. But Allah will have him killed by the hand of Isa (peace be upon him), and he will show them his blood on his spear."
