«لا تقوم الساعة حتى تأخذ أمتي أخذ القرون قبلها شبرا بشبر وذراعا بذراع قيل يا رسول الله! كفارس والروم؟ قال: ومن الناس إلا أولئك؟»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Hour will not be established until my Ummah adopts the ways of the nations before it, span by span and cubit by cubit." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! Like Persia and Rome?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And who are the people besides them?"
