«لا جلب ولا جنب في الرهان»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In a race there is neither 'jalab' nor 'janab'."

«لا جلب ولا جنب ولا تؤخذ صدقاتهم إلا في دورهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is neither 'jalab' nor 'janab', and their zakah is not to be collected anywhere other than at their homes."

«لا حسد إلا في اثنتين: رجل آتاه الله القرآن فهو يقوم به آناء الليل وآناء النهار ورجل آتاه الله مالا فهو ينفقه آناء الليل وآناء النهار»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Envy (i.e., emulation) is permissible only regarding two people: a man to whom Allah has given the Qur'an and he stands with it in prayer during the hours of the night and the day, and a man to whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it during the hours of the night and the day."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Envy is permissible only regarding two people: a man to whom Allah has given wealth and granted him the ability to spend it in the right way, and a man to whom Allah has given wisdom and he judges by it and teaches it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

And a man to whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, and a man says: 'If only I were given what so-and-so has been given, I would act as he acts.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Divorce takes effect only in what one owns, freeing a slave takes effect only in what one owns, a sale takes effect only in what one owns, fulfilling a vow applies only in what one owns, and a vow is valid only when the pleasure of Allah is sought by it. Whoever swears an oath to commit a sin, his oath has no standing, and whoever swears an oath to sever ties of kinship, his oath too has no standing."
