Hadith Beginning with the Letter Ya (ي)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people of my Ummah will drink wine, but they will call it by another name."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people of my Ummah will drink wine and will call it by a name other than its real name."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The martyr will intercede for seventy people of his household."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A supplication should be made for the one who sneezes three times; if it is more than that, then he has a cold."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man from my Ummah will be called out on the Day of Resurrection before all of creation, and ninety-nine registers will be spread open before him, each register stretching as far as the eye can see. Then Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, will say: Do you reject anything of this? He will say: No, O Lord. Allah will say: Have My guardian angels who record wronged you? He will say: No, O Lord. Then Allah will say: Do you have any excuse? Do you have any good deed? The man will be overawed and say: No. Allah will say: Indeed you do; you have a good deed with Us, and no injustice will be done to you today. Then a card will be brought out for him on which is written: 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh' (I bear witness that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and Messenger). He will say: O Lord! What is this card compared to these registers? Allah will say: You will not be wronged. Then the registers will be placed in one pan of the scale and the card in the other pan, and the registers will become light and the card will become heavy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Every morning charity is due on every joint of the son of Adam: greeting whomever one meets is charity, enjoining good is charity, forbidding evil is charity, removing something harmful from the path is charity, and having intimate relations with one's wife is also charity. And two rak'ahs of the forenoon (Duha) prayer suffice for all of this." The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! If one of us fulfils his desire, will he also receive the reward of charity?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tell me, if he were to use it in an unlawful place, would he not incur sin?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Every morning charity is due on every joint of each one of you: every glorification (tasbih) is charity, every praise (tahmid) is charity, every declaration of Allah's oneness (tahlil) is charity, every declaration of His greatness (takbir) is charity, enjoining good is charity, forbidding evil is charity, and two rak'ahs of the forenoon (Duha) prayer that you pray suffice for all of this."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Every day charity is due on every joint of each one of you. So for every prayer he receives the reward of charity, for every fast the reward of charity, for every Hajj the reward of charity, for every tasbih the reward of charity, for every takbir the reward of charity and for every tahmid the reward of charity; and two rak'ahs of the forenoon (Duha) prayer suffice each one of you for all of this."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Those rulers will lead you in prayer. If they do it correctly, the reward is for you; and if they err, the reward is for you and the burden of it is upon them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah laughs at two men, one of whom kills the other, and both enter Paradise: this one fights in the path of Allah and is killed; then Allah accepts the repentance of the killer, so he becomes a Muslim, then he fights in the path of Allah and is martyred."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah will fold up the heavens on the Day of Resurrection, then take them in His right hand, then say: I am the King; where are the tyrants? Where are the arrogant? Then He will fold up the earths, then take them in His left hand, then say: I am the King; where are the tyrants? Where are the arrogant?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Your Lord is amazed at a shepherd of goats on the peak of a mountain who calls the adhan for the prayer and prays. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: Look at this servant of Mine; he calls the adhan and establishes the prayer, fearing Me. I have forgiven My servant and admitted him into Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some of the people of Tawhid (monotheism) will be punished; they will be thrown into Hell until they become charcoal in it. Then mercy will reach them, and they will be taken out and thrown at the gates of Paradise. The people of Paradise will sprinkle water on them, and they will sprout just as something sprouts in the debris carried by a flood. Then they will enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"People will sweat so much on the Day of Resurrection that their sweat will sink seventy cubits deep into the earth, and it will reach their ears and bridle them like a rein."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Does one of you bite his brother as a male camel bites?! There is no blood money (diyah) for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The believer will be given in Paradise the strength of a hundred men with regard to women."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When one of you sleeps, Satan ties three knots at the back of his head, saying at each knot: You have a long night ahead, so sleep on. If he wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is untied; if he performs ablution (wudu), another knot is untied; and if he prays, all the knots are untied. So he begins the morning energetic and in good spirits; otherwise he begins the morning in bad spirits and lazy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Aqiqah should be performed for a boy, and his head should not be smeared with blood."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Would one of you deliberately take a live coal of fire and put it in his hand?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Does one of you sit down in his prayer the way a camel sits down?!"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Does one of you beat his wife as a slave is beaten, and then perhaps lie with her at the end of that same day?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Does Satan come to one of you and frighten him (in a dream), and then he gets up in the morning and goes about telling people (that dream)?!"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"One seeking refuge will seek refuge in the House (of Allah), and an army will be sent against him. When they reach a stretch of open desert land, they will be swallowed up by the earth." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! What about the one who was unwilling?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will be swallowed up along with them, but on the Day of Resurrection he will be raised according to his intention."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"An army will attack the Ka'bah, and when they reach a stretch of open desert land, the first and the last of them will all be swallowed up by the earth. Then they will be raised according to their intentions."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"An army will attack this House (the Ka'bah), and they will be swallowed up by the earth in the open desert."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When a dog laps from a vessel, it should be washed seven times, the last or the first of them with earth; and when a cat laps from a vessel, it should be washed once."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"(Clothing) should be washed from the urine of a girl, and (water) should be sprinkled on the urine of a boy."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"He gets angry with me because I cannot find anything to give him! Whoever among you asks while he has an uqiyah or its equivalent has asked importunately."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Every sin of the martyr is forgiven except debt."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It will be said to the people of Paradise: O people of Paradise! (Now there is) eternity, no death. And it will be said to the people of Hell: O people of Hell! (Now there is) eternity, no death."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When the companion of the Qur'an enters Paradise, it will be said to him: Recite and ascend. So he will recite and ascend, (rising) one level for every verse, until he recites the last thing he has with him (the last verse)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: Recite, ascend and recite slowly and distinctly, as you used to recite slowly and distinctly in the world, for your rank will be at the last verse you used to recite."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection it will be said to a man from the people of Hell: Tell me, if you had everything on the earth, would you give it as a ransom (for your deliverance)? He will say: Yes. Then Allah Almighty will say: You have lied. I asked of you something easier than that. I took a covenant from you while you were in the loins of Adam (peace be upon him) that you would not associate anything with Me, but you refused to do anything but associate partners with Me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Knowledge will be taken away, ignorance and trials will appear, and killing will increase."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah Almighty will grasp the earth on the Day of Resurrection and fold up the heavens in His right hand, then He will say: I am the King; where are the kings of the earth?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The son of Maryam (Isa, peace be upon him) will kill the Dajjal at the gate of Ludd."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The one in ihram may kill the biting dog, the mouse, the scorpion, the kite and the crow."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A donkey, a woman and a dog interrupt the prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A menstruating woman and a black dog interrupt the prayer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A woman, a donkey and a dog interrupt the prayer, and (placing something as a sutrah) the size of the back of a camel saddle protects against that."
