Hadith Beginning with the Letter Ya (ي)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do not stand until you see me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Bilal! Establish the prayer; give us rest through it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Bilal! Stand and announce: None will enter Paradise except a believer, and Allah supports this religion even through a wicked man."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Bilal! By what deed did you get ahead of me into Paradise? Whenever I entered Paradise, I heard the sound of your sandals ahead of me. Last night I entered Paradise and heard the sound of your sandals ahead of me. Then I came to a square, lofty palace of gold, and I asked: 'Whose palace is this?' It was said: 'A man of Quraysh.' I said: 'I am a Qurashi; whose palace is this?' It was said: 'A man from the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).' I said: 'I am Muhammad; whose palace is this?' It was said: 'Umar bin al-Khattab's.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O daughter of Abu Umayyah! You asked about the two rak'ahs after Asr. Some people from the tribe of Abd al-Qays came to me and kept me occupied from the two rak'ahs after Zuhr, so these are those two."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Bayadah! Marry your daughters to Abu Hind, and marry your sons into his family."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Salimah! Do you not count the reward of your footsteps to the mosque?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Salimah! Stay in your homes; your footsteps are recorded."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! Giving water to the pilgrims will remain your task, and were it not for the fear that people would overpower you in it, I myself would draw water along with you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Abd Manaf! Do not prevent anyone from circumambulating this House (the Ka'bah) and praying at whatever hour he wishes, of night or day."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Abd Manaf! O Banu Abd Manaf! I am a warner to you. The likeness of me and you is that of a man who saw the enemy and ran to warn his family, and he feared that the enemy would reach his family before him, so he began to cry out: 'Beware! Beware! The enemy has come, the enemy has come!'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Fihr! O Banu Adi! O Banu Abd Manaf! O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! Tell me, if I were to inform you that there is a cavalry in the valley that wants to attack you, would you believe me?" They said: "We have found nothing in you but truthfulness." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then I am a warner to you ahead of a severe punishment."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Ka'b bin Lu'ayy! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Banu Murrah bin Ka'b! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Banu Abd Shams! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Banu Abd Manaf! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! Save yourselves from the Fire. O Fatimah! Save yourself from the Fire, for I have no power to avail you anything against Allah, except that you are my kin, whose right I will fulfil in this world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Jabir! If the garment is wide, cross its two ends over your shoulders in opposite directions, and if it is narrow, tie it around your waist."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Jabir! Shall I not give you the glad tidings of how Allah met your father? Allah has never spoken to anyone except from behind a veil, except your father; He spoke to him face to face and said: 'O My servant! Ask of Me, and I will give you.' He said: 'O my Lord! Bring me back to life so that I may be martyred in Your path a second time.' Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: 'It has already been decreed by Me that they will not return after death.' He said: 'O Lord! Then convey this to those I have left behind in the world.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Jarhad! Cover your thigh, for the thigh too is awrah (a part that must be covered)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Hazim! Say often 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (there is no power to avoid sins nor strength to do good deeds except through the help of Allah), for it is one of the treasures of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Hassan! Reply on behalf of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). O Allah, support him with the Holy Spirit (Ruh al-Qudus)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O you of the two ears!"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Ruwayfi'! Perhaps your life will be long after me, so inform the people that whoever ties knots in his beard, or wears a bowstring as an amulet, or cleans himself after relieving himself with animal dung or a bone, then Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is free of him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Sa'd! Shoot, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Sa'd! I give to a man while someone else is dearer to me than him, out of fear that Allah may throw him on his face into Hell."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O you with the leather sandals! Woe to you! Take off your sandals."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Safiyyah bint Abd al-Muttalib! O Fatimah bint Muhammad! O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! I have no power to avail you anything against Allah; ask me for whatever you wish of my wealth."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! This is Jibril, who is conveying his greetings of peace to you."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this (the moon), for this is the darkening one (al-ghasiq) when it overspreads."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Did you know that Allah has answered me concerning what I asked Him? Two men came to me; one sat at my head and the other at my feet. The one at my head said to the one at my feet: 'What is this man's ailment?' He said: 'He has been bewitched.' He asked: 'Who bewitched him?' He said: 'Labid bin al-A'sam.' He asked: 'In what thing was it hidden?' He said: 'In a comb, hair, and the husk of a male date-palm spathe.' He asked: 'Where is it?' He said: 'In the well of Dharwan.' O Aishah! By Allah, it was as if its water were the water in which henna is steeped, and as if its date palms were the heads of devils."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Was there no entertainment with you? For the Ansar like entertainment."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Allah created people for Paradise; He created them for it while they were in the loins of their fathers. And He created people for Hell; He created them for it while they were in the loins of their fathers."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in every matter."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Allah is Gentle, He loves gentleness, and He grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness, and what He does not grant for anything else."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Allah does not love the foul-mouthed and the one who deliberately indulges in obscenity."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! The worst of people are those who are honoured only to guard against their evil."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! My eyes sleep, but my heart does not sleep."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Among the worst of people is the one whom people leave alone to guard against his foul tongue."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Remove this from here, for whenever I come in and see it, I am reminded of the world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Hold fast to the fear of Allah and adopt gentleness, for gentleness is never in anything except that it adorns it, and it is never removed from anything except that it disfigures it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Were it not that your people have only recently come out of the Jahiliyyah (the Days of Ignorance), I would have demolished the Ka'bah and included in it the part that was taken out of it, made it level with the ground, and given it two doors, one to the east and one to the west, and I would have brought it to the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! I still feel the pain of the food I ate at Khaybar, and now is the time when I feel my main artery being cut because of that poison."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! What assures me that there is no punishment in this cloud? A people were punished with the wind, and a people saw the punishment and said: 'This is a cloud that will bring us rain.'"
