«يا عائشة! لولا أن قومك حديثوعهد بجاهلية لأمرت بالبيت فهدم فأدخلت فيه ما أخرج منه وألزقته بالأرض وجعلت له بابين: باب شرقيا وباب غربيا فبلغت به أساس إبراهيم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Were it not that your people have only recently come out of the Jahiliyyah (the Days of Ignorance), I would have demolished the Ka'bah and included in it the part that was taken out of it, made it level with the ground, and given it two doors, one to the east and one to the west, and I would have brought it to the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)."
