«يا بني فهر! يا بني عدي! يا بني عبد مناف! يا بني عبد المطلب! أرأيتكم لوأخبرتكم أن خيلا بالوادي تريد أن تغير عليكم أكنتم مصدقي؟ قالوا: ما جربنا عليك إلا صدقا قال: فإني نذير لكم بين يدي عذاب شديد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Banu Fihr! O Banu Adi! O Banu Abd Manaf! O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! Tell me, if I were to inform you that there is a cavalry in the valley that wants to attack you, would you believe me?" They said: "We have found nothing in you but truthfulness." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then I am a warner to you ahead of a severe punishment."
"O Banu Fihr! O Banu Adi! O Banu Abd Manaf! O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! Tell me, if I were to inform you that there is a cavalry in the valley that wants to attack you, would you believe me?"
