«يا عائشة! أشعرت أن الله أفتاني فيما استفتيته فيه؟ جاءني رجلان فقعد أحدهما عند رأسي والآخر عند رجلي فقال الذي عند رأسي للذي عند رجلي: ما وجع الرجل؟ قال: مطبوب قال: من طبه؟ قال: لبيد بن الأعصم قال: في أي شيء؟ قال: في مشط ومشاطة وجف طلعتي ذكر قال: فأين هو؟ قال في بئر ذروان يا عائشة! والله لكأن ماءها نقاعة الحناء ولكأن نخلها رءوس الشياطين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Aishah! Did you know that Allah has answered me concerning what I asked Him? Two men came to me; one sat at my head and the other at my feet. The one at my head said to the one at my feet: 'What is this man's ailment?' He said: 'He has been bewitched.' He asked: 'Who bewitched him?' He said: 'Labid bin al-A'sam.' He asked: 'In what thing was it hidden?' He said: 'In a comb, hair, and the husk of a male date-palm spathe.' He asked: 'Where is it?' He said: 'In the well of Dharwan.' O Aishah! By Allah, it was as if its water were the water in which henna is steeped, and as if its date palms were the heads of devils."
