Hadith Beginning with the Letter Ya (ي)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection a neck will come out of Hell. It will have two eyes that see, two ears that hear and a tongue that speaks. It will say: 'I have been appointed over three kinds of people: over every obstinate tyrant, over everyone who called upon another deity besides Allah, and over the image-makers.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the last times, some people will emerge who are young in age and foolish in mind. They will recite the Qur'an with their tongues, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will speak the best words of creation. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game. So whoever meets them should kill them, for in killing them there is a great reward with Allah for the one who kills them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will emerge among you such that you will consider your prayer insignificant compared to their prayer, your fasting compared to their fasting and your deeds compared to their deeds. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game, and it passes out so cleanly that the archer looks at the arrowhead and sees nothing, looks at its shaft and sees nothing, looks at its feathers and sees nothing, and looks doubtfully at its notch to see whether any trace of blood has clung to it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In the last times some people will emerge who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. Their mark will be shaving the head. When you meet them, kill them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will be brought out of Hell through the intercession of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and admitted into Paradise, and they will be called the Jahannamiyyun (the people of Hell)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will emerge from my Ummah who will recite the Qur'an; your recitation will be nothing compared to their recitation, nor your prayer compared to their prayer, nor your fasting compared to their fasting. They will recite the Qur'an thinking that it is in their favour, whereas it will be against them. Their prayer will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of Islam just as an arrow passes through the game. If the army that confronts them knew what reward has been decreed for them for killing them upon the tongue of their Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they would rely on that and give up doing deeds. And the sign of this group is that among them will be a man who has an upper arm but no forearm; at the end of his upper arm there will be something like the nipple of a breast, with white hairs on it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will emerge from the East with shaven heads. They will recite the Qur'an with their tongues, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Four men will be brought out of Hell and presented before Allah. One of them will turn towards Allah and say: 'O my Lord, since You have brought me out of it, do not return me to it.' So Allah will save him from it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will be brought out of Hell through intercession looking like tha'arir (small white cucumbers)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will be brought out of Hell after they have been burnt, and admitted into Paradise, and the people of Paradise will call them the Jahannamiyyun (the people of Hell)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever said 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no true deity except Allah) and had in his heart good equal to even the weight of a grain of barley will be brought out of Hell. Then whoever said 'La ilaha illallah' and had in his heart good equal to the weight of a grain of wheat will be brought out. Then whoever said 'La ilaha illallah' and had in his heart good equal to the weight of a speck will be brought out."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever has even a speck's weight of faith in his heart will be brought out of Hell."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will emerge from the direction of the East who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the game, and then they will never return to it until the arrow returns to its notch. Their mark will be shaving the head."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Ka'bah will be destroyed by the man from Abyssinia with two thin shins."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Hand of Allah is over the Jama'ah (the united community)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Hand of Allah is full; spending does not diminish it, and He spends lavishly night and day. Have you seen how much He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth? Yet it has not diminished what is in His Hand. His Throne was upon the water, and in His Hand is the Scale; He decreases and increases provision."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The hand of the giver is the upper hand. Begin with those for whom you are responsible: your mother, your father, your sister and your brother, then whoever is closest to you, and then the next closest. Indeed, no soul will bear the burden of another soul's sin."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Some people will enter Paradise whose hearts are soft like the hearts of birds."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Through the intercession of one man from my Ummah, more people than the number of the tribe of Banu Tamim will enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A group from my Ummah will enter Paradise, and they will be seventy thousand. Their faces will shine like the moon on the night of the full moon."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning. They are those who do not ask for ruqyah, do not take bad omens and do not have themselves cauterised, and who put their trust in their Lord."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless and beardless, with kohl-lined eyes, as young people of thirty-three years of age."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people of Paradise will be admitted into Paradise and the people of Hell into Hell. Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: 'Bring out whoever has faith in his heart equal to even the weight of a mustard seed.' So they will be brought out of Hell, having turned black, and will be cast into the River of Life, and they will sprout just as a seed sprouts at the edge of a flood stream. Have you not seen that it comes out yellow and twisted?"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah will admit the people of Paradise into Paradise and the people of Hell into Hell. Then a caller will stand between them and say: 'O people of Paradise, there is no more death! And O people of Hell, there is no more death! Each will abide forever in the place where he is.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The angel comes to the drop of semen forty days after it settles in the womb and says: 'O Lord, what shall I write? Wretched or fortunate? Male or female?' Then Allah speaks, and the angels write it down, and his deeds, his end, his affliction, his provision and the time of his death are written. Then the scroll is rolled up, and nothing is added to what is in it nor taken away."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The poor Muslims will enter Paradise half a day before their wealthy ones, and that half day will be five hundred years."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Islam will fade away just as the embroidery of a garment fades, until people will not even know what fasting is, what prayer is, what Hajj is and what charity is. And the Book of Allah will be taken away in a single night, so that not a single verse of it will remain on the earth. Some groups of people will remain, old men and old women, who will say: 'We found our forefathers upon this word; they used to say 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no true deity except Allah), so we say it too.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The righteous will depart one after another, and there will remain worthless people, like the leftover refuse of barley or dates. Allah Almighty will not care about them at all."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on the mother of Isma'il (peace be upon him)! Had she left Zamzam to flow as it was, or he said: had she not scooped up its water by the handful, it would have been a flowing spring."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on the mother of Isma'il (peace be upon him)! Had she not been hasty, Zamzam would have been a flowing spring."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"People will come to Hell by way of the Bridge (Sirat), then they will pass over it according to their deeds. The first of them will pass like the blink of an eye, then like the speed of the wind, then like the gallop of a horse, then like a man riding his mount, then like a man running fast, then like one walking normally."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"On the Day of Resurrection some people from among my Companions will come to me, and they will be driven away from the Pool. I will say: 'O Lord, these are my Companions!' It will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated after you; after you they turned back on their heels.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Weeping will be sent upon the people of Hell, and they will weep until their tears run out. Then they will weep blood until it flows on their faces like channels; if ships were set sailing in them, they would sail."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"People ask me about the Hour, whereas its knowledge is only with Allah. And I swear by Allah that no living soul on the earth today will complete a hundred years."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The supplication of any one of you continues to be answered as long as he is not hasty and does not say: 'I supplicated, but my supplication was not answered.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Make things easy and do not make them difficult; give glad tidings and do not drive people away."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Make things easy and do not make them difficult; give glad tidings and do not drive people away; and cooperate with each other and do not differ."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The rider should greet the one walking, the one walking should greet the one standing, and the few should greet the many."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The rider should greet the one walking, the one walking should greet the one sitting, and the few should greet the many."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The younger should greet the elder, the one passing by should greet the one sitting, and the few should greet the many."
