«ما كرهت أن يراه الناس منك فلا تفعله بنفسك إذا خلوت»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whatever you would dislike people to see from you, do not do it yourself when you are alone."

«ما كسب الرجل كسبا أطيب من عمل يده وما أنفق الرجل على نفسه وأهله وولده وخادمه فهو صدقة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man has not earned any earning better than the work of his own hands, and whatever a man spends on himself, his family, his children and his servant is charity."

«ما لأحد عندنا يد إلا وقد كافأناه ما خلا أبا بكر فإن له عندنا يدا يكافئه الله بها يوم القيامة وما نفعني مال أحد قط ما نفعني مال أبي بكر ولو كنت متخذا خليلا لاتخذت أبا بكر خليلا ألا وإن صاحبكم خليل الله»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no one, apart from Abu Bakr, who has done us a favour except that we have repaid him for it. As for Abu Bakr, he has done us a favour for which Allah will repay him on the Day of Resurrection. The wealth of no one has ever benefited me as much as the wealth of Abu Bakr has benefited me. If I were to take anyone as an intimate friend (khalil), I would have taken Abu Bakr as an intimate friend. Listen! Your companion is the intimate friend (khalil) of Allah."

"What is the matter with this child of yours that he is crying? Why did you not have ruqyah done for him against the evil eye?"

«ما لكم والمجالس الصعدات اجتنبوا مجالس الصعدات أما لا فأدوا حقها: غض البصر ورد السلام وإهداء السبيل وحسن الكلام»

"What good is there for you in sitting in the roads? Avoid sitting in the roads. And if you must sit, then give them their right: lowering the gaze, returning the greeting of salam, guiding the way, and speaking good words."

«ما لي أرى عليك حلية أهل النار» - يعني خاتم الحديد -

"What is the matter that I see upon you the ornament of the people of Hell (that is, an iron ring)?"

«ما لي أراكم رافعي أيديكم كأنها أذناب خيل شمس اسكنوا في الصلاة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What is the matter that I see you raising your hands as though they were the tails of unruly horses? Be still in prayer."

«ما لي رأيتكم أكثرتم التصفيق من نابه شيء في صلاته فليسبح فإنه إذا سبح التفت إليه وإنما التصفيق للنساء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What is the matter that I saw you clapping so much? Whoever is faced with something in his prayer should say 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah), for when he says 'Subhan Allah', attention will be turned to him. Clapping is only for women."

«ما لي وللدنيا! ما أنا في الدنيا إلا كراكب استظل تحت شجرة ثم راح وتركها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What have I to do with this world! I am in this world only like a traveller who takes shade under a tree, then moves on and leaves it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"What have I to do with this world, and what has this world to do with me! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, the likeness of me and this world is only like that of a traveller who journeys on a hot summer day, then takes shade under a tree for an hour of the day, then moves on and leaves it."

«ما مات نبي إلا دفن حيث يقبض»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"No prophet died except that he was buried where his soul was taken."

"A human being has not filled any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to have a few morsels that keep his back upright. If it must be (more), then let him leave one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath."

"There is no human being except that there is a bridle in his head held in the hand of an angel. When he humbles himself, it is said to the angel: 'Raise his bridle,' and when he behaves arrogantly, it is said to the angel: 'Let go of his bridle.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever does not pay the zakah on his wealth, on the Day of Resurrection it will be made to appear to him as a bald snake, until it becomes a collar around his neck."

"Whoever takes a loan while Allah knows that he intends to repay it, Allah has it repaid on his behalf in this very world."

"Whoever makes a supplication, Allah gives him what he asked for or averts from him an equivalent amount of evil, as long as he does not supplicate for sin or for severing ties of kinship."

"Whoever greets me with salam, Allah returns my soul to me so that I return his greeting of salam."

"There is no prophet among the prophets except that he was given signs the like of which people believed in. What I have been given is revelation that Allah has revealed to me, so I hope that I will have the most followers of them all on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no heart among hearts except that a cloud like the cloud of the moon comes over it: just as the moon is shining, then suddenly a cloud covers it and it becomes dark, then the cloud clears away."

"Whichever Muslim among the people has three children die before reaching puberty, Allah will admit him into Paradise by the bounty of His mercy towards them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"There is no Muslim soul among the people whose Lord takes it and which would love to return to you, even if it were given the world and everything in it, except the martyrs. And that I be killed in the path of Allah is more beloved to me than that I should have the wealth of the people of tents and houses."

"There is no ruler or governor who closes his door to the needy, the destitute and the poor except that Allah will close the gates of the heaven to his need, his want and his poverty."

"There is no Muslim man who, when an obligatory prayer comes due, performs its ablution, its humility and its bowing well, except that it becomes an expiation for the sins before it, as long as no major sin is committed; and that is for all time."

"There is no Muslim man who visits a sick Muslim except that Allah sends seventy thousand angels who keep invoking blessings upon him: if it is at any hour of the day, until evening, and if it is at any hour of the night, until morning."

"There is no man who performs ablution and does it well, then prays, except that the sins between that prayer and the next prayer are forgiven for him until he prays it."

"There is no man who abandons a Muslim in a situation where his honour is being attacked and his sanctity violated, except that Allah Almighty will abandon him in a situation where he would love to be helped. And there is no one who helps a Muslim in a situation where his honour is being attacked and his sanctity violated, except that Allah will help him in a situation where he would love to be helped."

"There is no man who has a regular prayer at night and is overcome by sleep, except that Allah Almighty records for him the reward of his prayer, and his sleep becomes a charity for him."

"There is no ruler except that he has two inner circles from among his own people: one circle that enjoins him to do good and forbids him from evil, and one circle that spares no effort to bring him harm. So whoever is protected from its evil has truly been protected, and he becomes like whichever of the two prevails over him."

"There is no ruler who takes charge of the affairs of the Muslims and then does not strive for them and act sincerely for their good, except that he will not enter Paradise with them."
