Hadith Beginning with the Letter Mim (م)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whichever woman among you sees that (in a dream) and has a discharge (of fluid), let her perform the ritual bath (ghusl)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever stands guard (on the frontier) for a day and a night in the path of Allah will have a reward like that of fasting a month and standing (in prayer) during it; and whoever dies while standing guard, this same reward will continue for him, his provision will also continue, and he will be safe from the one who puts to trial (the questioning angels)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever goes out in the evening in the path of Allah (for jihad), he will be given, on the Day of Resurrection, musk (in fragrance) equal to the dust that touched him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever shows mercy, even if it is to a sparrow being slaughtered, Allah Almighty will show him mercy on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever defends the honour of his brother, Allah Almighty will keep the Fire away from his face on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever defends the honour of his brother, it will be a screen of protection for him from the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is held back from (fulfilling) his need by an evil omen has committed shirk."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever removes a stone from the road, a good deed is recorded for him, and whoever has a good deed will enter Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs (of voluntary prayer), a house is built for him in Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever shoots an arrow at the enemy in the path of Allah and his arrow reaches the enemy, whether it hits the mark or misses, this is equal to freeing a slave."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever shoots an arrow in the path of Allah, this is for him equal to freeing a slave."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever accuses a believer of disbelief, it is like killing him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever shoots arrows at us (or attacks us) by night is not one of us."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever visits a people as a guest, let him not lead them in prayer; rather, let a man from among them lead them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever cultivates land without the permission of its owners will get only his expenses, and he will have no share in the crop."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever plants a crop and a bird or some creature eats from it, it is charity for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever commits fornication, faith leaves him; then if he repents, Allah Almighty accepts his repentance."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times, Paradise says: 'O Allah, admit him into Paradise'; and whoever seeks protection from the Fire three times, the Fire says: 'O Allah, protect him from the Fire.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah Almighty will raise him to the ranks of the martyrs, even if he dies on his bed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever, with sincerity of heart, asks to be killed in the path of Allah, Allah Almighty will grant him the reward of a martyr, even if he dies on his bed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever asks people for their wealth in order to increase his own is in effect asking for embers of Hell, so let him ask for little or for much."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever asks people while he has what would make him self-sufficient will come on the Day of Resurrection with his asking appearing on his face as scratches or wounds." It was said: "What is self-sufficiency?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fifty dirhams or its equivalent in gold."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever asks for something while he has what would make him self-sufficient is in effect asking for more embers of Hell." The Companions said: "What makes him self-sufficient?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As much as provides him his morning and evening meals."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever begs without (the need of) poverty, it is as though he is eating embers."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever has forty dirhams and still asks is one who burdens people (with importunity)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever has the value of one uqiyah and still asks has been importunate (a burden) in his asking."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is asked about some knowledge and conceals it, Allah Almighty will bridle him on the Day of Resurrection with a bridle of fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever reviles my Companions (speaks ill of them), upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever says Subhan Allah thirty-three times, Alhamdu lillah thirty-three times and Allahu Akbar thirty-three times after every prayer, making ninety-nine, and then, to complete the hundred, says: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir' (There is no true god except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner; His is the dominion, His is all praise, and He has power over all things), his sins are forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever covers (the faults of) his Muslim brother in this world, Allah Almighty will cover him on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would love to find the sweetness of faith, let him love a person solely for the sake of Allah."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would love to love Allah and His Messenger, let him recite from the Qur'an."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would love Allah Almighty to answer his prayers in times of hardship and distress, let him supplicate abundantly in times of ease."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would love Allah Almighty to increase his provision and lengthen his life, let him maintain ties of kinship."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would be pleased to look at the humility and modesty of Isa (peace be upon him), let him look at Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever would be pleased to see the Day of Resurrection as though he were seeing it with his own eyes, let him recite Surah at-Takwir (When the sun is wrapped up [and its light is gone]), Surah al-Infitar (When the sky breaks apart) and Surah al-Inshiqaq (When the sky is split open)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is gladdened by his good deed and saddened by his bad deed is a believer."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever has something stolen and finds his stolen property with a man who is not suspected of theft, then if he wishes he may take it by paying its price, and if he wishes he may pursue the original thief."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever lives in the desert (the Bedouin life) becomes hard-hearted, whoever keeps chasing game becomes heedless, and whoever frequents the ruler falls into trial (fitnah)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever travels a path in which he seeks knowledge, Allah Almighty makes easy for him, by means of it, one of the paths of Paradise. The angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge, pleased with what he does. The creatures in the heavens and on the earth, even the fish in the water, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like the superiority of the moon on the night of the full moon over all the other stars. The scholars are the heirs of the prophets, and the prophets did not leave behind a dinar or a dirham as inheritance; rather, they left knowledge as their inheritance, so whoever takes it has taken an abundant share."
