"ألا إن ربي أمرني أن أعلمكم ما جهلتم مما علمني يومي هذا كل مال نحلته عبدا حلال وإني خلقت عبادي حنفاء كلهم وإنهم أتتهم الشياطين فاجتالتهم عن دينهم وحرمت عليهم ما أحللت لهم وأمرتهم أن يشركوا بي ما لم أنزل به سلطانا; وإن الله نظر ¤ إلى أهل الأرض فمقتهم عربهم وعجمهم إلا بقايا من أهل الكتاب وقال: إنما بعثتك لأبتليك وأبتلي بك وأنزلت عليك كتابا لا يغسله الماء تقرؤه نائما ويقظانا وإن الله أمرني أن أحرق قريشا فقلت يا رب إذن يثلغوا رأسي فيدعوه خبزة. قال: استخرجهم كما استخرجوك واغزهم نعزك وأنفق فسننفق عليك وابعث جيشا نبعث خمسة مثله, وقاتل بمن أطاعك من عصاك وأهل الجنة ثلاثة: ذو سلطان مقسط متصدق موفق ورجل رحيم رقيق القلب لكل ذي قربى ومسلم وعفيف متعفف ذو عيال; وأهل النار خمسة: الضعيف الذي لا زبر له الذين هم فيكم تبع لا يبتغون أهلا ولا مالا والخائن الذي لا يخفى له طمع وإن دق إلا خانه ورجل لا يصبح ولا يمسي إلا وهو يخادعك عن أهلك ومالك; وذكر البخل والكذب والشنظير الفحاش"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! Indeed, my Lord has commanded me to teach you what you do not know of what He has taught me this day: (Allah Almighty says:) 'Every wealth that I have granted to a servant is lawful. Indeed, I created all My servants upright (monotheists); then the devils came to them and led them astray from their religion, and the devils made unlawful for them what I had made lawful for them, and commanded them to associate with Me that for which I have sent down no authority.' Indeed, Allah Almighty looked at the people of the earth and was intensely angry with all of them, whether Arabs or non-Arabs, except a few remnants of the People of the Book, and He said: 'I have sent you only to test you and to test others through you, and I have revealed to you a Book that water cannot wash away; you recite it asleep and awake.' And indeed, Allah Almighty commanded me to burn Quraysh, so I said: 'O my Lord! Then they will crush my head and break it like bread.' Allah Almighty said: 'Drive them out as they drove you out, and fight them and We will help you, and spend and We will spend on you. Send an army and We will send five like it, and together with those who obey you, fight those who disobey you.' And the people of Paradise are of three kinds: a ruler who is just, gives charity and is granted success in doing good; a man who is merciful and tender-hearted towards every relative and every Muslim; and a man who is chaste and refrains from asking, though he has a family to support. And the people of Hell are of five kinds: the weak person who has no sense (to restrain himself from evil), those among you who are followers of others and seek neither family nor wealth; the treacherous person whose greed is not hidden and who betrays even in the smallest thing; and the man who morning and evening keeps deceiving you about your family and your wealth; and he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned miserliness, lying, and the foul-mouthed, obscene person."

«ألا إن قتل الخطأ شبه العمد بالسوط والعصا فيه مائة من الإبل مغلظة منها أربعون خلفة في بطونها أولادها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! Indeed, the blood money for quasi-deliberate killing (shibh al-'amd) with a whip, a stick and the like is one hundred camels, taken in the heavier (aggravated) form, forty of which shall be pregnant she-camels with young in their bellies."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware! Each one of you is conversing intimately (in munajat) with his Lord, so let none of you harm another, nor raise his voice over another in recitation."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! These are four fundamental things: do not associate anything with Allah, do not kill a soul which Allah has made sacred except by right, do not commit adultery and do not steal."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! Those before you from the People of the Book split into seventy-two (72) sects, and this Ummah will split into seventy-three (73) sects, of which seventy-two (72) will be in Hell and only one will be in Paradise, and that is al-Jama'ah (Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah). And indeed, there will emerge from my Ummah people in whom desires will spread just as the poison of a rabid dog spreads through the body of the one it bites; not a vein or a joint of him will remain that it does not enter."

"Listen! On the Day of Resurrection a banner will be set up for every deceiver and betrayer, in proportion to his betrayal."

«ألا إني أوتيت الكتاب ومثله معه ألا يوشك رجل شبعان على أريكته يقول: عليكم بهذا القرآن فما وجدتم فيه من حلال فأحلوه وما وجدتم فيه من حرام فحرموه ألا لا يحل لكم لحم الحمار الأهلي ولا كل ذي ناب من السبع ولا لقطة معاهد إلا أن يستغني عنها صاحبها ومن نزل بقوم فعليهم أن يقروه فإن لم يقروه فله أن يغصبهم بمثل قراه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! I have been given the Qur'an and something like it along with it (wisdom and Sunnah). Beware! Soon a man, full-bellied and reclining on his couch, will say: 'Hold fast to this Qur'an; whatever you find lawful in it, treat as lawful, and whatever you find unlawful in it, treat as unlawful.' (Listen!) Indeed, the meat of the domestic donkey is not lawful for you, nor (the meat of) any fanged beast of prey, nor the lost property (luqatah) of a non-Muslim under covenant, unless its owner has no need of it. And whoever comes as a guest to a people, it is binding on them to host him; and if they do not host him, the guest has the right to take from them by force the equivalent of his hospitality."

«ألا إني فرط لكم على الحوض وإن بعد ما بين طرفيه مثل ما بين صنعاء وأيلة كأن الأباريق فيه النجوم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! I will be your forerunner at the Pond (al-Kawthar). The distance between its two sides is like the distance between San'a and Aylah, and its jugs (or cups) will be like the stars of the sky."

"ألا تأمنوني وأنا أمين من في السماء؟ يأتيني خبر ¤ السماء صباحا ومساء"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you not trust me, when I am the trustee of the One who is in the heaven? News from the heaven comes to me morning and evening."

"Will you not pledge allegiance to me on the condition that you worship Allah alone, associate nothing with Him, establish the five prayers, pay zakah, listen and obey (those in authority), and ask people for nothing?"

«ألا تسمعون؟ إن الله لا يعذب بدمع العين ولا بحزن القلب ولكن يعذب بهذا - وأشار إلى لسانه - أو يرحم وإن الميت يعذب ببكاء أهله عليه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you not hear? Indeed, Allah Almighty does not punish because of the tears of the eye or the grief of the heart; rather, He punishes or shows mercy because of this" - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards his blessed mouth (that is, because of the tongue). "And indeed, the deceased is punished because of his family's weeping over him."
"Do you not hear? Indeed, Allah Almighty does not punish because of the tears of the eye or the grief of the heart; rather, He punishes or shows mercy because of this" - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards his blessed mouth (that is, because of the tongue). «ألا تصفون كما تصف الملائكة عند ربها؟ يتمون الصلاة بالصفوف الأول ويتراصون في الصف»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Why do you not form rows as the angels form rows in the presence of their Lord? They complete the front rows first and stand closely joined to one another in the row."

«ألا تعجبون كيف يصرف الله عني شتم قريش ولعنهم يشتمون مذمما ويلعنون مذمما وأنا محمد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you not wonder how Allah Almighty turns away from me the abuse and curses of Quraysh? They (Allah forbid) abuse and curse 'Mudhammam' (the blameworthy one), whereas my name is 'Muhammad' (the praised one)."

«ألا تعلمين هذه رقية النملة كما علمتيها الكتابة؟»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Will you not teach this woman the ruqyah (incantation) for namlah (skin sores), just as you taught her writing?"

«ألا خمرته ولو أن تعرض عليه عودا؟»

"Did you not cover it, even if only by placing a stick across it?"

"Is there no one who will give charity to this man (a traveller or one praying alone) by praying (in congregation) with him?"

«ألا رجل يمنح أهل بيت ناقة تغدو بغداء وتروح بعشاء؟ إن أجرها لعظيم»

"Is there no one who will give a household a she-camel that goes out in the morning with a bowl of milk and comes back in the evening with a bowl of milk? Indeed, its reward is immense."

«ألا شققت عن قلبه حتى تعلم من أجل ذلك قالها أم لا؟ من لك بلا إلا الله يوم القيامة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Did you split open his heart so that you would know whether he said it for that reason or not? What will become of you on the Day of Resurrection regarding (the claim of) 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah)?"

«ألا من ظلم معاهدا أو انتقصه حقه أو كلفه فوق طاقته أو أخذ منه شيئا بغير طيب نفس منه فأنا حجيجه يوم القيامة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! Whoever wrongs a mu'ahid (a non-Muslim living under a covenant of protection), or diminishes his right, or burdens him beyond his capacity, or takes anything from him without his willing consent, then I will be the one to argue against him on the Day of Resurrection."

«ألا هل عسى أحدكم أن يتخذ الصبة من الغنم على رأس ميل أو ميلين فيتعذر عليه الكلأ فيرتفع ثم تجيء الجمعة فلا يجيء ولا يشهدها وتجيء الجمعة فلا يشهدها وتجيء الجمعة فلا يشهدها حتى يطبع على قلبه»

"Beware! Does any one of you not care that he sets up camp with a flock of goats a mile or two away, then, because the pasture there runs out, he moves further (to higher ground); then Friday comes and he does not come (for the Friday prayer) and does not attend it, then Friday comes and he does not attend it, then Friday comes and he does not attend it, until a seal is set upon his heart?"
"Beware! «ألا هل عسى رجل يبلغه الحديث عني وهو متكئ على أريكته فيقول: بيننا وبينكم كتاب الله فما وجدنا فيه حلالا استحللناه وما وجدنا فيه حراما حرمناه وإن ما حرم رسول الله كما حرم الله»

"Beware! It may be that a man, while reclining on his couch, has a hadith of mine reach him and he says: 'Between us and you there is only the Book of Allah (the Qur'an); whatever we find permissible in it we will treat as permissible, and whatever we find forbidden in it we will treat as forbidden.' (Listen!) Whatever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden is forbidden just as what Allah has forbidden."

"ألا لا يلومن امرؤ إلا نفسه؛ يبيت وفي يده ريح ¤ غمر"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! A person should blame no one but himself (in this case, namely) that he spends the night while the grease and smell of food remain on his hand."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O my brothers! Prepare for a day like this one (the Hereafter)."

«أيحب أحدكم إذا رجع إلى أهله أن يجد ثلاث خلفات عظام سمان؟ فثلاث آيات يقرأ بهن أحدكم في صلاته خير له من ثلاث خلفات عظام سمان»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Would any one of you like to find, when he returns to his family, three large, fat, pregnant she-camels? For one of you to recite three verses in his prayer is better for him than three large, fat, pregnant she-camels."

«أيسر أحدكم أن يبصق في وجهه؟ إن أحدكم إذا استقبل القبلة فإنما يستقبل ربه عز وجل والملك عن يمينه فلا يتفل عن يمينه ولا في قبلته وليبصق عن يساره أو تحت قدمه فإن عجل به أمر فليتفل هكذا - يعني في ثوبه -»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Would any one of you like to be spat upon in the face? Indeed, when one of you faces the qiblah, he is in fact facing his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and the angel is on his right. So let him not spit to his right nor towards the qiblah; rather, let him spit to his left or under his foot. And if something urgent presses upon him, let him spit like this" - meaning into his garment.

«أيعجز أحدكم أن يتقدم أو يتأخر أو عن يمينه أو عن شماله في الصلاة؟» - يعني في السبحة - "

"Is any one of you unable, in the prayer - meaning in the voluntary prayer - to move forward, or step back, or move to his right or his left?"

«أيعجز أحدكم أن يقرأ ثلث القرآن في ليلة؟ فإنه من قرأ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ} في ليلة فقد قرأ ليلته ثلث القرآن»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Is any one of you unable to recite a third of the Qur'an in one night? Indeed, whoever recites 'Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Eternal Refuge' in a night has recited a third of the Qur'an that night." [Surah al-Ikhlas: 1-2]

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Is any one of you unable to recite a third of the Qur'an every night? Indeed, Allah Almighty divided the Qur'an into three parts, and He made 'Say: He is Allah, the One' one of the parts of the Qur'an." [Surah al-Ikhlas: 1]

«أيعجز أحدكم أن يكسب كل يوم ألف حسنة؟ يسبح الله مائة تسبيحة فيكتب الله له بها ألف حسنة ويحط عنه بها ألف خطيئة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Is any one of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds every day? Let him glorify Allah one hundred times, and Allah Almighty records for him a thousand good deeds in return and erases a thousand of his sins."

«أيمن امرئ وأشأمه ما بين لحييه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The most blessed and the most ill-omened thing for a person is what lies between his two jaws (that is, the tongue)."

"Well done, O Ibn al-Khattab! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, Satan has never met you walking on a path except that he took a path other than yours."

«إياك والتنعم فإن عباد الله ليسوا بالمتنعمين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Beware of luxury and indulgence, for the true servants of Allah are not accustomed to luxury."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
