Hadith Beginning with the Letter Mim (م)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the signs of the Hour drawing near is also that the crescent will be seen on the very first day, and it will be said that it is the moon of two nights; that mosques will be taken as thoroughfares; and that sudden death will become widespread."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the greatest of the major sins are associating partners with Allah and swearing a false oath."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"It is also part of righteousness that you maintain ties with your father's friend."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Wine is also made from dates and half-ripe dates."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Wine is made from wheat, wine is made from dates, wine is made from barley, wine is made from raisins, and wine is made from honey."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the prayers is a prayer which, if someone misses it, it is as though his family and his wealth were snatched away from him (that is, the Asr prayer)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among jealousy there is some that Allah loves and some that Allah dislikes. The jealousy that Allah loves is jealousy where there is suspicion, and the jealousy that Allah dislikes is jealousy without any suspicion."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The following are part of the fitrah: rinsing the mouth, drawing water into the nose, using the miswak, trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, washing the finger joints, sprinkling water after istinja, and circumcision."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The following are part of the fitrah: shaving the pubic hair, clipping the nails and trimming the moustache."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the major sins is also that a man reviles his own parents, in that he reviles another man's father and so that man reviles his father, and he reviles someone's mother and so that person reviles his mother."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"This is from Allah Almighty, not from His Messenger: Allah has cursed the one who cuts down the lote tree."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The discharge of madhi requires ablution (wudu), and the discharge of mani requires a ritual bath (ghusl)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Part of the excellence of a person's Islam is that he leaves alone what does not concern him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"When one of you goes out from his house to the mosque, one of his steps records a good deed and the other step erases a sin."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among your caliphs there will be a caliph who will give out wealth freely in handfuls, and will not count it out."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The best of your perfumes is musk."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the best ways of life for people is a man who holds the reins of his horse in the path of Allah, flying about on its back; whenever he hears a cry of danger or alarm, he flies towards it, seeking out the places of martyrdom and death. And the other is a man who lives with his goats on the summit of one of these mountain peaks, or in the bottom of one of these valleys, establishing the prayer, giving zakah and worshipping his Lord until death comes to him; such a person remains among people only in goodness."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the worst of people are also those whom the Hour overtakes while they are still alive."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among the worst of people is also the two-faced person, who comes to these people with one face and to those people with another face."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever washes him (the deceased) must take a ritual bath (ghusl), and whoever carries him must perform ablution (wudu)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Trials will come from here" - and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards the east - "and harshness and hardness of heart are among those loud-voiced herdsmen, the tent-dwelling people who work near the roots of the tails of camels and cattle, that is, among the tribes of Rabi'ah and Mudar."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"From among us will be the one behind whom Isa bin Maryam will pray."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is given something of this wealth by Allah without his having asked for it, let him accept it, for it is only provision that Allah has sent to him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever hurts Abbas has hurt me; indeed, a man's paternal uncle is the equal of his father."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever harms the Muslims on their roads, their curse becomes binding upon him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever hurts Ali has hurt me."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever believes in Allah and His Messenger, establishes the prayer, gives zakah and fasts in Ramadan, it becomes a right upon Allah that He admits him into Paradise, whether he migrated in the path of Allah or stayed in the very land in which he was born."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever keeps a stray animal with him without announcing it is himself astray, so long as he does not announce it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever buys foodstuff, let him not sell it on until he has taken full possession of it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever buys an animal whose udder has been tied to show more milk has the option for three days: if he wishes, he may keep it, and if he wishes, he may return it, and along with it he should give a sa' of dates, not wheat."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever buys a date palm after it has been pollinated, its fruit belongs to the seller unless the buyer stipulates otherwise; and whoever buys a slave who has wealth, his wealth belongs to the one who sold him unless the buyer stipulates otherwise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever seeks knowledge in order to boast with it before the scholars, or to argue and dispute with it against the foolish, or to turn people's hearts towards himself, his end is the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is tested with daughters and is patient with them, they become a screen for him from the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is tested with these daughters and treats them well, they become a screen for him from the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever is shown a favour and mentions it has thanked for it, and if he conceals it, he has been ungrateful for it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever goes to visit his sick Muslim brother walks among the fruits of Paradise until he sits down, and when he sits down, mercy covers him. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels pray for mercy for him until the evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels pray for him until the morning."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever comes to the Friday prayer, let him take a ritual bath (ghusl)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever comes to the mosque for something, that is his share."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever does you a kindness, repay him, and if you find no means of repaying him, then supplicate for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Whoever commits bestiality with an animal, kill him, and kill the animal along with him."
