Hadith Beginning with the Letter Alif (أ)

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Hajj and Umrah are in the path of Allah (part of jihad), and indeed, an Umrah performed in Ramadan carries a reward equal to a Hajj."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Hasan and Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) are my two flowers from this world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, by saying 'Alhamdulillah' (All praise is for Allah), 'Subhan Allah' (Glory be to Allah), 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah) and 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), the sins of a servant fall away just as the leaves of this tree are falling."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the wide-eyed and beautiful Hur will sing in Paradise, saying: 'Nahnu al-huru al-hisan, khubbi'na li-azwajin kiram' We are the beautiful Hur, kept hidden (and preserved) for noble husbands."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, modesty and faith are joined together, so when one of them is taken away, the other is taken away as well."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, wine is made from (grape) juice, raisins, dates, wheat, barley and corn, and I forbid you from every intoxicant."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the one who guides to good is like the one who does it (in earning reward)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the Dajjal will be blind in his left eye, over which there will be a thick growth (a lump of flesh), and between his eyes will be written 'Kafir' (disbeliever)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the Dajjal will emerge from the direction of the east, from a land called Khurasan. He will be followed by people whose faces are like layered shields (broad and flat)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this world is sweet and green. So whoever takes something from it in a lawful way, blessing is placed for him in it. And how many people there are who wrongfully plunge into the wealth of Allah and His Messenger (misappropriating it); for them on the Day of Resurrection there will be nothing but the Fire."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this world is accursed, and whatever is in it is accursed (far from the mercy of Allah), except the remembrance of Allah, and whatever brings one close to obedience to Allah, and a scholar or a student of religious knowledge."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the religion is sincere goodwill in its entirety: to Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the rulers of the Muslims and to their common people."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the religion is easy, and whoever is harsh with the religion, the religion will overpower him. So adopt moderation, stay as close as possible to what is right (if you cannot attain perfection), be of good cheer, and seek help through worship in the morning, after midday and in part of the night."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a dream comes to pass according to the interpretation given to it, and its example is that of a man who has raised his foot and is waiting for when to put it down. So when one of you sees a (good) dream, he should not relate it to anyone except a well-wisher or a scholar."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man has the greater right to the front of his mount and the head of his bed, and he also has the greater right to lead the prayer himself in his own dwelling (home)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, when a person begins his prayer, Allah Almighty turns towards him in a manner befitting His majesty, and He does not turn His attention away from him until he finishes the prayer or does something bad (that breaks his ablution)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, when a man keeps praying with the imam until he (the imam) finishes, the reward of a whole night of worship (standing in prayer) is written for him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, when a person dies somewhere other than his place of birth, the distance from his place of birth to his place of death is measured for him in Paradise, and that much space (in Paradise) is given to him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man's rank is raised in Paradise and he asks: 'How did I get this station?' He is answered: 'Because of your children's supplicating for forgiveness on your behalf.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a person utters a word in which he sees no harm, yet because of that one word he falls into the fire of Hell to a depth of seventy years' distance."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a person speaks a word pleasing to Allah Almighty which he does not even imagine will reach as far as it does, and because of that one word Allah Almighty writes His good pleasure for him until the Day of Resurrection. And indeed, a person speaks a word displeasing to Allah Almighty which he cannot even imagine will reach as far as it does, and because of that word Allah Almighty writes His displeasure against him until the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, by his excellent character a person attains the ranks of one who prays tahajjud at night and fasts during the day."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, through his good character a man attains the rank of one who stands in prayer at night and stays thirsty (fasting) in the intense heat of midday."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man asks me for something and I hold it back from him so that you may intercede and be rewarded for it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man does the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then his end comes upon a deed of the people of Hell; and a man does the deeds of the people of Hell for a long time, then his end comes upon a deed of the people of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a person outwardly does the deeds of the people of Paradise in the eyes of people while he is one of the people of Hell, and a person outwardly does the deeds of the people of Hell in the eyes of people while he is one of the people of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a person has a special station (appointed) with Allah which he cannot reach through any deed of his, so Allah Almighty keeps testing him with things he dislikes until Allah brings him to that station."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a person returns (after praying) and nothing is written for him (as reward) except a tenth of his prayer, a ninth, an eighth, a seventh, a sixth, a fifth, a quarter, a third or a half."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man from the people of Paradise will be given the strength of a hundred men in eating, drinking, desire and intercourse, and their need (to relieve themselves) will only be in the form of sweat that comes out of their skin, by which their stomachs become light (and slim)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a man from the people of Hell will be made so large for the Fire that one of his molars will be like Mount Uhud."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the womb (kinship) is a branch that has taken hold of the waist-wrapper of the Most Merciful. It joins whoever joins it (kinship) and it cuts off whoever cuts it off."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a servant's provision seeks him out more intensely than his death seeks him."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, messengership and prophethood have come to an end, so after me there is no messenger and no prophet. However, glad tidings remain, and that is the (true) dream of a Muslim man, which is one of the parts of prophethood."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, (polytheistic) incantations, amulets and love charms (spells to create love between husband and wife) are shirk."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the Black Stone and the Station of Ibrahim are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise. Allah Almighty has dimmed their light; had He not dimmed their light, they would have illuminated everything between the east and the west."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, when the soul is taken, the sight follows it (which is why the eyes of the dead remain open)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the Hour will not be established until ten signs appear: the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from its place of setting, three sinkings of the earth: one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula, the descent of Isa (peace be upon him), the emergence of Ya'juj and Ma'juj, and a fire that will come out of the depths of Aden and drive people to the place of gathering; where people spend the night, this fire will spend the night with them, and where people take their midday rest, it will rest with them."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, eating suhur is a blessing that Allah Almighty has granted you, so do not abandon it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the fortunate one is he who is kept safe from trials, and he who is put to a test and remains patient."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, As-Salam is one of the names of Allah Almighty, so spread it (abundantly) among yourselves."
