"اللهم إني أسألك وأتوجه إليك بنبيك محمد نبي الرحمة يا محمد إني توجهت بك إلى ربي في حاجتي هذه لتقضى لي ¤ اللهم فشفعه في"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni as'aluka wa atawajjahu ilayka bi-nabiyyika Muhammadin nabiyyi ar-rahmah. Ya Muhammad, inni tawajjahtu bika ila rabbi fi hajati hadhihi li-tuqda li. Allahumma fa-shaffi'hu fiyya' (O Allah, I ask You and turn to You through Your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), I have turned through you to my Lord concerning this need of mine, so that it may be fulfilled for me. O Allah, accept his intercession on my behalf)."

«اللهم إني أعوذ برضاك من سخطك وبمعافاتك من عقوبتك وأعوذ بك منك لا أحصي ثناء عليك أنت كما أثنيت على نفسك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bi-ridaka min sakhatik, wa bi-mu'afatika min 'uqubatik, wa a'udhu bika mink, la uhsi thana'an 'alayk, anta kama athnayta 'ala nafsik' (O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot fully enumerate Your praise; You are as You have praised Yourself)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bi-ridaka min sakhatik, wa bi-mu'afatika min 'uqubatik, wa a'udhu bika mink, la uhsi thana'an 'alayk, anta kama athnayta 'ala nafsik' (O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من البرص والجنون والجذام ومن سيء الأسقام»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-barasi wal-jununi wal-judhami wa min sayyi'i al-asqam' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprous white patches, madness, leprosy and all evil diseases)."

«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من التردي والهدم والغرق والحرق وأعوذ بك أن يتخبطني الشيطان عند الموت وأعوذ بك أن أموت في سبيلك مدبرا وأعوذ بك أن أموت لديغا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina at-taraddi wal-hadmi wal-gharaqi wal-haraq, wa a'udhu bika an yatakhabbatani ash-shaytanu 'inda al-mawt, wa a'udhu bika an amuta fi sabilika mudbira, wa a'udhu bika an amuta ladigha' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from falling from a height, from being crushed beneath something, from drowning and from burning. And I seek refuge in You from Satan confounding me at the time of death, and I seek refuge in You from dying in Your path while turning my back and fleeing, and I seek refuge in You from dying from the sting or bite of a venomous creature)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-ju'i fa innahu bi'sa ad-daji', wa a'udhu bika mina al-khiyanati fa innaha bi'sati al-bitanah' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is an evil companion, and I seek refuge in You from treachery, for it is an evil inner trait)."

«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل والجبن والبخل والهرم وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر وأعوذ بك من عذاب النار وأعوذ بك من فتنة المحيا والممات»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-jubni wal-bukhli wal-haram, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi al-qabr, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi an-nar, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-mahya wal-mamat' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness and extreme old age; I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave; I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire; and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-jubni wal-bukhli wal-haram, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi al-qabr, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi an-nar, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-mahya wal-mamat' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness and extreme old age; I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave; I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire; and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل والجبن والبخل والهرم والقسوة والغفلة والعيلة والذلة والمسكنة وأعوذ بك من الفقر والكفر والفسوق والشقاق والنفاق والسمعة والرياء وأعوذ بك من الصمم والبكم والجنون والجذام والبرص وسيء الأسقام»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-jubni wal-bukhli wal-harami wal-qaswati wal-ghaflati wal-'aylati wadh-dhillati wal-maskanah, wa a'udhu bika mina al-faqri wal-kufri wal-fusuqi wash-shiqaqi wan-nifaqi was-sum'ati war-riya', wa a'udhu bika mina as-samami wal-bakami wal-jununi wal-judhami wal-barasi wa sayyi'i al-asqam' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, extreme old age, hardness of heart, heedlessness, destitution, humiliation and wretchedness. And I seek refuge in You from poverty and want, disbelief, disobedience, opposition to the truth, hypocrisy, seeking fame and showing off. And I seek refuge in You from deafness, dumbness, madness, leprosy, leprous white patches and all evil diseases)."

«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل والجبن والبخل والهرم وعذاب القبر وفتنة الدجال اللهم آت نفسي تقواها وزكها أنت خير من زكاها أنت وليها ومولاها اللهم إني أعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع ومن قلب لا يخشع ومن نفس لا تشبع ومن دعوة لا يستجاب لها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-jubni wal-bukhli wal-harami wa 'adhabi al-qabri wa fitnati ad-dajjal. Allahumma ati nafsi taqwaha, wa zakkiha anta khayru man zakkaha, anta waliyyuha wa mawlaha. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa', wa min qalbin la yakhsha', wa min nafsin la tashba', wa min da'watin la yustajabu laha' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, extreme old age, the punishment of the grave and the trial of the Dajjal. O Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it, for You are the best of those who purify it; You are its Guardian and its Master. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that has no fear of You, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-jubni wal-bukhli wal-harami wa 'adhabi al-qabri wa fitnati ad-dajjal. «اللهم إني أعوذ من الفقر والقلة والذلة وأعوذ بك من أن أظلم أو أظلم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu mina al-faqri wal-qillati wadh-dhillah, wa a'udhu bika min an azlima aw uzlam' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity and humiliation, and I also seek refuge in You from wronging anyone or being wronged)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu mina al-faqri wal-qillati wadh-dhillah, wa a'udhu bika min an azlima aw uzlam' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, scarcity and humiliation, and I also seek refuge in You from wronging anyone or being wronged)."
"اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الكسل والهرم والمأثم والمغرم ومن فتنة القبر وعذاب القبر ومن فتنة النار وعذاب النار ومن شر فتنة الغنى وأعوذ بك من فتنة الفقر وأعوذ بك من فتنة المسيح الدجال اللهم اغسل عني خطاياي بالماء والثلج والبرد ونق قلبي من الخطايا كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس وباعد بيني وبين ¤ خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق والمغرب"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-kasali wal-harami wal-ma'thami wal-maghram, wa min fitnati al-qabri wa 'adhabi al-qabr, wa min fitnati an-nari wa 'adhabi an-nar, wa min sharri fitnati al-ghina, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-faqr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-masihi ad-dajjal. Allahumma ighsil 'anni khatayaya bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqi qalbi mina al-khataya kama yunaqqa ath-thawbu al-abyadu mina ad-danas, wa ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, extreme old age, sin and debt. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the grave, from the trial of Hell and the punishment of Hell, and from the evil of the trial of wealth; I seek refuge in You from the trial of poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Masih ad-Dajjal. O Allah, wash away my sins with water, snow and hail, and cleanse my heart of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt, and put as great a distance between me and my sins as You have put between the East and the West)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-kasali wal-harami wal-ma'thami wal-maghram, wa min fitnati al-qabri wa 'adhabi al-qabr, wa min fitnati an-nari wa 'adhabi an-nar, wa min sharri fitnati al-ghina, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-faqr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-masihi ad-dajjal. Allahumma ighsil 'anni khatayaya bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-barad, wa naqqi qalbi mina al-khataya kama yunaqqa ath-thawbu al-abyadu mina ad-danas, wa ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, extreme old age, sin and debt. I seek refuge in You from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the grave, from the trial of Hell and the punishment of Hell, and from the evil of the trial of wealth; I seek refuge in You from the trial of poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Masih ad-Dajjal. «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الهم والحزن والعجز والكسل والبخل والجبن وضلع الدين وغلبة الرجال»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-hammi wal-hazani wal-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni wa dala'i ad-dayni wa ghalabati ar-rijal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and the domination and control of people)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina al-hammi wal-hazani wal-'ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni wa dala'i ad-dayni wa ghalabati ar-rijal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and the domination and control of people)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من جار السوء في دار المقامة فإن جار البادية يتحول»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min jari as-saw'i fi dari al-muqamah, fa inna jara al-badiyati yatahawwal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a bad neighbour in the place of permanent residence, that is, in one's own neighbourhood or settlement, for the neighbour of the desert and of travel moves on)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min jari as-saw'i fi dari al-muqamah, fa inna jara al-badiyati yatahawwal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a bad neighbour in the place of permanent residence, that is, in one's own neighbourhood or settlement, for the neighbour of the desert and of travel moves on)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من زوال نعمتك وتحول عافيتك وفجأة نقمتك وجميع سخطك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuj'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of the blessing You have given, from the change of the well-being You have granted, from Your sudden punishment, and from every kind of Your displeasure)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuj'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of the blessing You have given, from the change of the well-being You have granted, from Your sudden punishment, and from every kind of Your displeasure)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من شر سمعي ومن شر بصري ومن شر لساني ومن شر قلبي ومن شر منيتي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri sam'i wa min sharri basari wa min sharri lisani wa min sharri qalbi wa min sharri maniyyati' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart and from the evil of my death)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri sam'i wa min sharri basari wa min sharri lisani wa min sharri qalbi wa min sharri maniyyati' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart and from the evil of my death)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من شر ما عملت ومن شر ما لم أعمل»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu wa min sharri ma lam a'mal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of every deed that I have done and from the evil of every deed that I have not done)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu wa min sharri ma lam a'mal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of every deed that I have done and from the evil of every deed that I have not done)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من عذاب القبر وأعوذ بك من عذاب النار وأعوذ بك من فتنة المحيا والممات وأعوذ بك من فتنة المسيح الدجال»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi al-qabr, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi an-nar, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-mahya wal-mamat, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-masihi ad-dajjal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire, I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Masih ad-Dajjal)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi al-qabr, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi an-nar, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-mahya wal-mamat, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati al-masihi ad-dajjal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire, I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Masih ad-Dajjal)."
"اللهم إني أعوذ بك من علم لا ينفع وعمل لا يرفع ¤ ودعاء لا يسمع"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa', wa 'amalin la yurfa', wa du'a'in la yusma'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a deed that is not raised up to Your presence, and from a supplication that is not heard)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfa', wa 'amalin la yurfa', wa du'a'in la yusma'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, from a deed that is not raised up to Your presence, and from a supplication that is not heard)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من غلبة الدين وغلبة العدو وشماتة الأعداء»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ghalabati ad-dayni wa ghalabati al-'aduwwi wa shamatati al-a'da'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by the burden of debt, from the domination and control of the enemy, and from the gloating of enemies, that is, a misfortune over which enemies rejoice)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ghalabati ad-dayni wa ghalabati al-'aduwwi wa shamatati al-a'da'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by the burden of debt, from the domination and control of the enemy, and from the gloating of enemies, that is, a misfortune over which enemies rejoice)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من قلب لا يخشع ومن دعاء لا يسمع ومن نفس لا تشبع ومن علم لا ينفع أعوذ بك من هؤلاء الأربع»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min qalbin la yakhsha', wa min du'a'in la yusma', wa min nafsin la tashba', wa min 'ilmin la yanfa', a'udhu bika min ha'ula'i al-arba'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that has no fear of You, from a supplication that is not answered, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from knowledge that does not benefit. I seek refuge in You from these four things)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min qalbin la yakhsha', wa min du'a'in la yusma', wa min nafsin la tashba', wa min 'ilmin la yanfa', a'udhu bika min ha'ula'i al-arba'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a heart that has no fear of You, from a supplication that is not answered, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from knowledge that does not benefit. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min munkarati al-akhlaqi wal-a'mali wal-ahwa'i wal-adwa'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil character, evil deeds, evil desires and evil diseases)."
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min munkarati al-akhlaqi wal-a'mali wal-ahwa'i wal-adwa'' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil character, evil deeds, evil desires and evil diseases)."
«اللهم إني أعوذ بك من يوم السوء ومن ليلة السوء ومن ساعة السوء ومن صاحب السوء ومن جار السوء في دار المقامة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min yawmis-su', wa min laylatis-su', wa min sa'atis-su', wa min sahibis-su', wa min jaris-su' fi daril-muqamah' (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from an evil day, from an evil night, from an evil hour, from an evil companion, and from an evil neighbour in the place of permanent residence.)"
"'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min yawmis-su', wa min laylatis-su', wa min sa'atis-su', wa min sahibis-su', wa min jaris-su' fi daril-muqamah' (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from an evil day, from an evil night, from an evil hour, from an evil companion, and from an evil neighbour in the place of permanent residence.)"
«اللهم بارك لأمتي في بكورها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma barik li-ummati fi bukuriha' (O Allah! Bless my Ummah in its early hours, that is, in the morning time.)"

«اللهم بعلمك الغيب وقدرتك على الخلق أحيني ما علمت الحياة خيرا لي وتوفني إذا علمت الوفاة خيرا لي اللهم وأسألك خشيتك في الغيب والشهادة وأسألك كلمة الإخلاص في الرضا والغضب وأسألك القصد في الفقر والغنى وأسألك نعيما لا ينفد وأسألك قرة عين لا تنقطع وأسألك الرضا بالقضاء وأسألك برد العيش بعد الموت وأسألك لذة النظر إلى وجهك والشوق إلى لقائك في غير ضراء مضرة ولا فتنة مضلة اللهم زينا بزينة الإيمان واجعلنا هداة مهتدين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma bi-'ilmikal-ghayba wa qudratika 'alal-khalqi ahyini ma 'alimtal-hayata khayran li, wa tawaffani idha 'alimtal-wafata khayran li. Allahumma wa as'aluka khashyataka fil-ghaybi wash-shahadah, wa as'aluka kalimatal-ikhlasi fir-rida wal-ghadab, wa as'alukal-qasda fil-faqri wal-ghina, wa as'aluka na'iman la yanfad, wa as'aluka qurrata 'aynin la tanqati', wa as'alukar-rida bil-qada', wa as'aluka bardal-'ayshi ba'dal-mawt, wa as'aluka ladhdhatan-nazari ila wajhik, wash-shawqa ila liqa'ik, fi ghayri darra'a mudirrah, wa la fitnatin mudillah. Allahumma zayyinna bi-zinatil-iman, waj'alna hudatan muhtadin' (O Allah! By Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, I ask You to keep me alive as long as, according to Your knowledge, life is better for me, and to give me death when death is better for me. O Allah! I ask You for fear of You in every state, hidden and open; I ask You for the word of truth and sincerity in both states, contentment and anger; I ask You for moderation in both states, poverty and wealth; I ask You for a blessing that never ends; I ask You for a coolness of the eyes that is never cut off; I ask You for contentment with Your decrees; I ask You for a tranquil life after death; and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face and for longing to meet You, without any harmful affliction and without any misleading trial. O Allah! Adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us rightly guided and a means of guidance for others.)"

«اللهم حجة لا رياء فيها ولا سمعة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma hajjatun la riya'a fiha wa la sum'ah' (O Allah! This is a Hajj in which there is no showing off and no seeking of fame.)"

"'Allahumma rabban-nas, mudhhibal-ba's, ishfi antash-shafi, la shafiya illa ant, ishfi shifa'an la yughadiru saqama' (O Allah! O Lord of mankind! Remover of affliction! Grant healing, You are the Healer; there is no healer but You. Grant a healing that leaves behind no illness at all.)"

"'Allahumma kama hassanta khalqi fa-hassin khuluqi' (O Allah! Just as You have made my form and creation beautiful, so make my character and conduct beautiful as well.)"

«اللهم لا عيش إلا عيش الآخرة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"'Allahumma la 'aysha illa 'ayshul-akhirah' (O Allah! True and lasting life is only the life of the Hereafter.)"

"'Allahumma matti'ni bi-sam'i wa basari, waj'alhumal-waritha minni, wansurni 'ala man zalamani, wa khudh minhu bi-tha'ri' (O Allah! Let me benefit from my hearing and my sight, and make them both my heir (that is, keep them sound until my last breath); help me against whoever wrongs me, and take my revenge on him.)"

"O Allah! Whoever believes in You and bears witness that I am Your Messenger, place in his heart love of meeting You, make Your decree easy for him, and lessen his desire for this world. And whoever does not believe in You and does not bear witness that I am Your Messenger, do not place in his heart love of meeting You, do not make Your decree easy for him, and give him an abundance of this world."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"O Allah! Whoever is put in charge of any affair of my Ummah and is harsh with them, be harsh with him; and whoever is put in charge of any affair of my Ummah and treats them gently, treat him gently."

«ألم تروا إلى الإنسان إذا مات شخص بصره فذاك حين يتبع بصره نفسه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Have you not seen a person when he dies, how his eyes remain open and staring? That happens when his gaze follows the soul leaving his body."

"Have you not seen what your Lord has said? Allah Almighty said: 'Whenever I bestow any blessing upon My servants (such as sending down rain), a group of them becomes ungrateful for it; they say: "It is such-and-such a star, and the rain came through the influence of such-and-such a star."'"

«ألم تعلموا ما لقي صاحب بني إسرائيل؟ كانوا إذا أصابهم البول قطعوا ما أصابه البول منهم فنهاهم عن ذلك فعذب في قبره»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do you not know what befell a man of the Children of Israel? It was their practice (the Children of Israel) that when urine got on any part of their body or clothing, they would cut off the place the urine had touched. This man forbade them from doing that, and because of it he was punished in his grave."

«أليس قد مكث هذا بعده سنة فأدرك رمضان فصامه وصلى كذا وكذا سجدة في السنة؟ فلما بينهما أبعد مما بين السماء والأرض»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Did this second man not live one more year after the first man (who had been martyred), and did he not reach the month of Ramadan and fast it, and perform so many prostrations (prayers) over the year? The difference between the ranks of the two of them is greater than the distance between the heavens and the earth."

"Indeed, this son of yours will not be held responsible for any crime of yours, nor will you be held responsible for any crime of his."

«أما إنك لو قلت حين أمسيت: أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق لم تضرك»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen! Had you recited this supplication in the evening, 'A'udhu bi-kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq' (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of everything He has created), it (the scorpion's sting) would not have harmed you."
