«استوصوا بالأنصار خيرا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Accept my counsel to treat the Ansar well (that is, always treat them kindly)."

«استوصوا بالنساء خيرا فإن المرأة خلقت من ضلع وإن أعوج شيء في الضلع أعلاه فإن ذهبت تقيمه كسرته وإن تركته لم يزل أعوج فاستوصوا بالنساء خيرا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Accept the counsel to treat women well, for woman has been created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its upper part. If you go to straighten it you will break it, and if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So accept the counsel to treat women well."

«استووا ولا تختلفوا فتختلف قلوبكم وليلني منكم أولو الأحلام والنهي ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Stand straight (in the rows of prayer) and do not stand unevenly, or else your hearts will differ. Let those of you who are mature and possess understanding stand close to me, then those who come after them, then those who come after them."

«أسرع قبائل العرب فناء قريش يوشك أن تمر المرأة بالنعل فتقول: هذه نعل قرشي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The quickest of the Arab tribes to perish (come to an end) will be Quraysh. Soon a woman will pass by a sandal and, on seeing it, say: This is the sandal of a Qurayshi."

«أسرعكن لحاقا بي أطولكن يدا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The quickest of you (the Mothers of the Believers) to join me will be the one of you with the longest hands (that is, the one who gives the most in charity)."

"Hasten with the funeral, for if the deceased was righteous, you are hastening him to something good, and if he was otherwise (evil), you are putting an evil off your necks."

"أسرف رجل على نفسه فلما حضره الموت ¤ أوصى بنيه فقال: إذا أنا مت فأحرقوني ثم اسحقوني ثم اذروني في البحر فوالله لئن قدر علي ربي ليعذبني عذابا ما عذبه أحدا ففعلوا ذلك به فقال الله للأرض: أدي ما أخذت فإذا هو قائم فقال: ما حملك على ما صنعت؟ قال خشيتك يا رب فغفر له بذلك"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man wronged himself greatly (through sins). When death approached him, he gave instructions to his sons, saying: When I die, burn me, then grind my bones, then scatter me over the sea, for by Allah, if my Lord gets hold of me, He will punish me with a punishment He has not given anyone. So they did that with him. Then Allah Almighty commanded the earth: Give back what you have taken. And at once he was standing. Allah Almighty asked: What made you do what you did? He said: O my Lord, fear of You. So Allah forgave him because of that."

«أسرق الناس الذي يسرق صلاته: لا يتم ركوعها ولا سجودها، وأبخل الناس من بخل بالسلام»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The worst thief among people is the one who steals from his prayer, that is, he does not complete its bowing (ruku') or its prostration (sujud). And the most miserly of people is the one who is miserly with giving the greeting of peace (salam)."

«أسعد الناس بشفاعتي يوم القيامة من قال: لا إله إلا الله خالصا مخلصا من قلبه»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The happiest of people with my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said, sincerely and from his heart, that there is no true god except Allah."

«اسعوا فإن الله قد كتب عليكم السعي»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Perform the sa'i (between Safa and Marwah), for Allah Almighty has indeed made the sa'i obligatory upon you."

«أسفر بصلاة الصبح حتى يرى القوم مواقع نبلهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Perform the Fajr prayer in the light of dawn, until the people can see (in the light) the places where their arrows fall."

«أسفروا بالفجر فإنه أعظم للأجر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Perform the Fajr prayer when the dawn has become well lit, for there is a very great reward in it."

«أسلم الناس وآمن عمرو بن العاص»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The (other) people (merely) became Muslim, whereas Amr bin al-As believed."

«أسلمت على ما أسلفت من خير»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"You have embraced Islam by virtue of the good deeds you did before (in the time of ignorance)."

«أسلم ثم قاتل»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"First accept Islam, then fight (in jihad)."

«أسلم سالمها الله وغفار غفر الله لها أما والله ما أنا قلته ولكن الله قاله»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Allah has kept the tribe of Aslam safe, and Allah has forgiven the tribe of Ghifar. Listen! By Allah, it was not I who said this; rather, Allah Almighty said it."

«أسلم وغفار وأشجع ومزينة وجهينة ومن كان من بني كعب موالي دون الناس والله ورسوله مولاهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Ashja', Muzaynah, Juhaynah and the people of Banu Ka'b are my allies and friends, to the exclusion of other people, and Allah and His Messenger are their protectors and helpers."

«أسلم وغفار وشيء من مزينة وجهينة خير عند الله من أسد وتميم وهوازن وغطفان»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The tribes of Aslam and Ghifar, and some of the people of Muzaynah and Juhaynah, are better in the sight of Allah than the tribes of Asad, Tamim, Hawazin and Ghatafan."

«أسلم وغفار ومزينة خير من تميم وأسد وغطفان وعامر بن صعصعة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The tribes of Aslam, Ghifar and Muzaynah are better than Banu Tamim, Asad, Ghatafan and Amir bin Sa'sa'ah."

«اسم الله الأعظم الذي إذا دعي به أجاب في ثلاث سور من القرآن في البقرة وآل عمران وطه»

"The Greatest Name of Allah Almighty, by which, if He is supplicated, He responds, is in three surahs of the Qur'an: Surah al-Baqarah, Surah Al Imran and Surah Ta Ha."

[Surah al-Baqarah: 163] and in the opening verses of Surah Al Imran: 'Alif Lam Mim. Allah, there is no true god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer (of all).' [Surah Al Imran: 1-2]"

«اسمحوا يسمح لكم»

«اسمع وأطع ولو لعبد حبشي مجدع الأطراف»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Listen (to your leader) and obey, even if he is an Abyssinian slave with mutilated limbs."

«أسوأ الناس سرقة الذي يسرق من صلاته لا يتم ركوعها ولا سجودها ولا خشوعها»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The worst of people in stealing is the one who steals from his prayer, that is, he does not complete its bowing (ruku'), nor its prostration (sujud), nor does he observe humility and devotion in it."

"Of those I have seen, the one who most resembles Jibril (peace be upon him) is Dihyah al-Kalbi."

«اشتد غضب الله على من زعم أنه ملك الأملاك لا ملك إلا الله»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The anger of Allah is most severe against the one who claimed that he is the King of kings, whereas there is no true king except Allah."

«اشترى رجل من رجل عقارا له فوجد الرجل الذي اشترى العقار في عقاره جرة فيها ذهب فقال الذي اشترى العقار: خذ ذهبك مني إنما اشتريت منك الأرض ولم أبتع الذهب، وقال الذي له الأرض: إنما بعتك الأرض وما فيها فتحاكما إلى رجل فقال الذي تحاكما إليه: ألكما ولد؟ قال أحدهما: لي غلام، وقال الآخر: لي جارية. قال: أنكحوا الغلام الجارية وأنفقوا على أنفسكما منه وتصدقوا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"A man bought a piece of land (property) from another man. The man who bought the land found in his land a jar full of gold. The man who bought the land said (to the seller): Take your gold from me; I only bought the land from you, I did not buy the gold. The (former) owner of the land said: I sold you the land and everything in it. Then the two of them went to a third man to have the matter judged. The man to whom they went for judgement asked: Do you have any children? One of them said: I have a son. And the other said: I have a daughter. He (the arbiter) ruled: Marry the boy to the girl, spend from it (the gold) on yourselves, and give (the rest) in charity."

«اشتكت النار إلى ربها فقالت: يا رب أكل بعضي بعضا فأذن لها بنفسين نفس في الشتاء ونفس في الصيف فهو أشد ما تجدون من الحر وأشد ما تجدون من الزمهرير»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The Fire of Hell complained to its Lord and said: O my Lord, part of me has devoured another part. So Allah Almighty permitted it two breaths, one breath in winter and one breath in summer. So the most intense heat you feel and the most intense cold you feel is because of that."

«اشتكت النار إلى ربها وقالت: يا رب أكل بعضي بعضا فجعل لها نفسين نفسا في الشتاء ونفسا في الصيف فأما نفسها في الشتاء فهو زمهرير وأما نفسها في الصيف فسموم»

"The Fire of Hell complained to its Lord and said: O my Lord, part of me has devoured another part. So Allah Almighty appointed two breaths for it, one breath in winter and one breath in summer. As for its breath in winter, it is the bitter cold, and as for its breath in summer, it is the scorching hot wind (heat)."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people who face the severest trials are the Prophets, then, rank by rank, those closest to them (in righteousness). A person is tried according to his religion: if he is firm (strong) in his religion, his trial is made severe, and if there is softness (weakness) in his religion, he is tried according to the level of his religion. Afflictions and trials continue to befall the servant until they leave him walking on the earth with no sin upon him."

«أشد الناس بلاء الأنبياء ثم الأمثل فالأمثل يبتلى الناس على قدر دينهم فمن ثخن دينه اشتد بلاؤه ومن ضعف دينه ضعف بلاؤه وإن الرجل ليصيبه البلاء حتى يمشي في الناس ما عليه خطيئة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The people with the severest trials are the Prophets, then those closest to them, then those closest to them. People are tried according to their religion: whoever's religion is solid, his trial is also severe, and whoever's religion is weak, his trial is also light. Indeed, a man continues to be afflicted by hardships until he walks among the people with no sin remaining upon him."

"The people with the severest trials are the Prophets, then the righteous. Indeed, one of them would be tried with poverty to such an extent that he would find nothing but a woollen cloak, so he would cut it open and wear it; and they would be tried with lice until they killed him. And each of them was more pleased with trial than any of you is when he receives wealth."

"The one who inflicts the severest torment (suffering) on people in this world will be the one who receives the severest punishment from Allah on the Day of Resurrection."
