And I saw al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) standing by his (peace and blessings be upon him) head, lifting the branches of the tree away from his (peace and blessings be upon him) head, while the people were pledging allegiance to him (peace and blessings be upon him)."

Hadith Referenceالمعجم الكبير للطبراني / باب العين / 13523
A man came to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman! We travel and meet people who say there is no such thing as divine decree (qadar). He said: When you meet those people, tell them that Ibn Umar is free of them. We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when suddenly a man came, with a handsome face, a fragrant scent and clean clothes, and said: Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah! May I come near you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come near." He came one step closer, and he kept doing so several times until his knees touched the knees of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is Islam? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To bear witness that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, to establish the prayer, to pay the zakah, to perform Hajj to the House, to fast Ramadan, and to take the ritual bath (ghusl) from major impurity (janabah)." He said: So if I do all this, am I a Muslim? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He said: You have spoken the truth. Then he asked: What is iman (faith)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Iman is that you believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, Paradise, Hell, the Resurrection, and the divine decree, its good and its evil, its sweet and its bitter, all of it being from Allah." He said: So if I do all this, am I a believer? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. He said: You have spoken the truth. Then he asked: What is ihsan (excellence)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That you worship Allah as though you see Him, and if you do not see Him, He certainly sees you." He said: So if I do this, am I a muhsin (one who excels)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He said: You have spoken the truth. We said: We have never seen a man with a more handsome face, a more fragrant scent, or greater reverence for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and (strange was) his saying to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): You have spoken the truth. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring the man to me." We got up, and I stood on one of the roads of Madinah, but we saw nothing. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know who that was?" The people said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That was Jibril (peace be upon him); he came to teach you the rites of your religion. He has never come to me in any form without my recognising him, except this form."

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey when a Bedouin approached. When he came near, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Where are you headed?" He said: To my family. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would you like something good?" He said: What is it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That you bear witness that there is no true god except Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger." He said: Who is a witness to what you say? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This tree." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called it, and it was on the bank of the valley. It came, ploughing through the earth, until it stood before him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked it to testify three times, and it testified that the matter was just as he (peace and blessings be upon him) had said. Then it returned to the place where it grew. And the Bedouin went back to his people and said: If they follow me, I will bring them to you; otherwise I will come back to you myself and stay with you.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When people become miserly with the dinar and the dirham, abandon jihad in the path of Allah, cling to the tails of cattle, and trade by 'inah, Allah Almighty will impose upon them an affliction that He will not lift until they return (from their ways)."

At this a man said: Then, O Messenger of Allah, how could anyone be destroyed after this? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will come on the Day of Resurrection with deeds so heavy that if they were placed on a mountain they would weigh it down; then one blessing from among the blessings of Allah will stand up and almost consume all of those deeds, unless Allah bestows His grace through His mercy." At this a man from among the Muslims said: Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth; he is far too lowly and contemptible for such a thing to come from him. My household gave me two dirhams to buy flour with, but they were lost. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her the two remaining dirhams. Then she turned back, still crying, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) called her and said: "What makes you cry when you have taken the two dirhams?" She said: I fear they will beat me. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked with her to her household and greeted with salam, and they recognised his (peace and blessings be upon him) voice. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted again, then greeted a third time, and they replied. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you hear the first greeting?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This girl feared that you would beat her." Her owner said: Then she is free for the sake of Allah, in return for your walking here with her. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them glad tidings of good and of Paradise. Then he said: "Allah Almighty has put blessing in these ten (dirhams): Allah clothed His Prophet with a shirt, clothed a man of the Ansar with a shirt, and through it Allah freed a slave. And praise be to Allah, who granted us this by His power."

A man from the Ansar called Ubaydullah bin Abd al-Khaliq said: I will take it; and if I perish before that, will Paradise be mine? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes. If you reach him, Paradise is yours; and if you are killed, and if you perish, Allah has made Paradise obligatory for you." So he set off with the letter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until he reached the tyrant king, and he said: I am the envoy of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds. He was given permission and went in to him. The tyrant of Rome recognised that he had come with the truth from a Prophet who had been sent. Then he laid the letter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) before him, and he gathered the Romans around him and laid it before them, but they disliked what he had brought. One man among them believed in it, and he was killed for his faith. Then the man returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him (peace and blessings be upon him) what had happened to him, and also about the killing of that man.
